Acid Invaders
What was your first impressions of Ibiza when you first stepped onto the white isle?
“Each time we get off the plane in Ibiza it makes us think about the Cashmere aka Green Velvet song, ” La la land”. The island is all about music, big fun and of course sky and sand. Hope this year parties will be as huge as before…”
What was the first club you ever went to in Ibiza and who was DJing?
“I remember it like it was yesterday. As we went into Space, Timo Maas was on the decks and the party ended at noon and it was 40° C outside. Extremely amazing.”

“Definitely Josh Wink’s ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ which remains a pure energy moment. Another track is ‘Italian Fireflies’ by Blackstrobe.”
Do you think door prices at 80euros are too expensive this summer?
“Definitely yes. We believe it’s time to rethink door prices. You can’t charge that while half of the young Spanish people are without a job.”
Favourite bar and beach in Ibiza?
“It might sound cliché, but Playa d’en Bossa is still our favourite one as the music is played 24/7, and you don’t have to drive there!”
IMS – business or pleasure?
“Touring is about pleasure in the first place.”

“For us London is number one as it’s all year round, but we love Ibiza too!”

Chris Grant – Disco Dirt
What was your first impressions of Ibiza when you first stepped onto the white isle?
“It was amazing that how no matter what beach, bar, club you walked into house music was pumping out. Full of inspiration for the DJ and the promoter. Pushing the boundaries and seemed to have been rigid back in the UK.”

Do you think door prices at 80euros are too expensive this summer?
“As Disco Dirt has always been about the free party then we’ve always seen the Ibizan door taxes as extortionate. However you have the world’s whos who of DJ talent on one island for the summer, there’s not many other places in the world where you can get 3/4 headline DJs on one billing other than festivals.”

If Ibiza is the number one party destination in the world – where is No. 2?
“Can I say our events (hahahaha). Seriously though 10 years ago I would have said Sheffield with it’s weekend of 48hour parties. Not top of most people’s list, but everyone was there for a good time and people travelled from all over the UK to be there. These days you can’t look further than London really.”

I later found out I had third degree burns the backs of my legs, FAIL…”

And fave bar is Mambo as it’s where all our mates are and where we’ve hung out for years, its always the first port of call when going out and it’s pretty much the hub of everything.
