Blufoot’s perspiration within this ambitious UKUS showdown and spring-clean has his quickfire inspiration (Demon Boyz, Gunshot, Hijack, an over-reliance on London Posse) playing it relatively safe. Despite the reduced ammo disrupting the balance, the blood and thunder of early British outings is expertly demoed, distinguishing itself against the countering US golden age. Equally, the Stateside tracklist doesn’t pose much mystery name-wise, being more about the DJ moving from East to West, gangsta to conscious and crew to crew (NWA, X Clan, Def Squad, DITC), and putting the boot into a formidable union of Stars & Stripes and Union Jack.
