Instantly upon hearing this song, I became a huge Floating Points fanboy. There is something so emotive and charming about this. Mmmm.

Also, I’m a huge Jazz head! I spend countless hours searching the vast internet for lost records. Delighted this album found me.

 

Yussef Kamaal – Black Focus (Full Album)

Another modern Jazz record I absolutely adore. You know its a good record when you keep coming back to it.

 

Thievery Corporation – The Richest Man In Babylon

This is a monumental record to me. Sadly, I was recently turned onto thievery Corporation. It was love at first sight. I’ve listened to this album in its entirety countless times.

 

Jay Shepheard – Bullfrogging

I would love to hear this at a rave on a massive sound-system. You go Jay Shepheard! I-E-A-O-U-A-E-A

 

Andy Stott – Faith (Full Album)

Andy Stott’s creating a whole new world of music of his own. There’s something so raw, dark and beautiful about this album.

 

William Basinski – Cascade

Bedtime Lullaby. I love to read to William Basinski. I find solace in his music.

 

Helly Larson – Go Your Way

I was infected by the Dub-Techno bug two years ago and it really changed the way I make and see music. Dub-Techno is music for love and peace. Helly Larson was a pioneer in this field who recently passed, may he rest in peace.

 

Robert Babicz – Remote Kiss

It was a sincere honor to meet Mr. Babicz. I’ve been an admirer of his work for many years. He is an artist in the most true sense. No short cuts, no ghost producer, no cheating. He took the long road and never gave up. Look at what he’s accomplished!

 

Adisyn – Departure (Kindisch)

Kindisch will kick off the new year in style with a fresh EP from Miami based producer Adisyn. Adisyn is an American who makes moody, dubbed out deep house with labels like this one and sister operation Get Physical. As well as solo material, he has also collaborated with m.O.N.R.O.E. on tracks like ‘Microdose’ which is part of Get Physical’s new Sessions Compilation. Here he offers a brace of fine tracks that exemplify his rich and deep style. ‘Departure’ opens the account with a deep, humid house groove that has long legged drums extended way down below the surface, while warm synth winds gentle drift above. The percussion is crisp and stands out in the cavernous atmosphere, helping to drive you on into the night. Neon chords, well treated vocal sounds and classy melodic hooks all colour the track in romantic and late night ways.
The second superb offering is ‘Digital Heart’, another brilliantly warm and inviting track with gently rolling drums and soft edge chords that bring the warmth. It’s an intimate cut with organic percussion and the whole thing is like a nocturnal sonic day dream
that carries you off to another world.
