Back To Mine with Congellous

Mura Masa – Love sick feat.A$AP Rocky – Universal

The hardest thing is picking which track I like the best of this album, but please someone play this as the sun is coming up in Ibiza.

Missingo – Fones – XL

I love this track as the vocal works so well, it’s a genre breaking banger.

Kraftwerk – Tour de france – Kling Klang

Like Herbie Hancock this track spans my interest in dance music, I hunted an original copy on vinyl and took the wrapper off to play it in a set in Rome – it went down well.

Future Sound Of London – Papa New Guinea – Jumping and Pumpin

Still one of my favourites from that era, I finished a set in Brixton with it and looked up to see people in tears, which really struck me. There are only a handful of tracks that are that powerfully emotional for me.

Primal Scream – Don’t Fight It Feel It – Creation

‘Screamadelica’ was massive when it came out, I was already a fan of Andy Weatherall and Terry Farley, but this track used to smash it – such a builder.

Stone Roses – Fools Gold – Silvertone

When this track came out it would be played in a set alongside acid house and still managed to kick it off, not an easy thing for a band sound back then, the use of the break beat is just a classic.

N.O.R.E – Nothin – Def Jam

Neptunes classic – in the right club at the right time it has great nervy feel, awesome!

Busta Rhymes – Put Your Hands Where My Hands Can See – Flipmode

On of my favourite Busta Rhymes tracks, it’s all about the bassline and flow – just a straight up classic.

Donna Summer – I Feel Love – GTO

This is the cornerstone of modern dance music, emulated many times but hardly bettered, it’s simplicity and longevity is amazing.

Radiohead – House Of Cards – TBD Records

Radiohead songs go in and out of fashion back at mine but this one doesn’t, great vibe.

Congellous Ft. Jess Bishop ‘Are We Running Out Of Love’ will be released on September 23rd 2017 on SOBA Records.
