My fave after hours tracks:
Ability ii – Pressure Dub (1990)
When I think of my first after hour club memories , this track comes to mind. Its deep druggy vibe defines perfectly the music I like to play or hear late at night or early morning.
Marcus Mixx – Without Makeup (Ron Hardy Mix)
I believe this one was a Muzic Box classic in the 80’s. The legendary Chicago club was a juice bar, meaning it could stay open very late. Its haunting sound still works today when played at the right place and time.
1999 – Swayzak vs Theorem – Bad Hair Day
I must say, I haven’t played a lot of m_nus records but this modern electronic dub track is the kind of minimal I always feel.
Second-Hand Satellites – Orbit 1.3
An underground classic way ahead of its time. I was one of the lucky few to receive a promo copy of it. It became my after hour secret weapon for years
Roman IV aka Roman Fluegel – Lucy
This more recent one by Roman Fluegel is another perfect example of the kind of minimal tune I love playing very late at night in small foggy clubs
DJ QU – Mixing Room
They are so many track by QU that I like playing late. The texture of his music is very particular. Dark , raw and hypnotic , just the way I like my after hour music

MP (Mihai Popescu) – Muzie Clue
I’ve been lucky to sign this beautiful hypnotic track on Bass Culture by one of my favourite Romanian producer
Billy Nightmare – Is This The Life For Me
Another oldy but goody that I save for special moment. That trippy vocal sticks in people ‘s mind for ever
Mike Dehnert – Deep Route
Mike is best known for his techno tracks but he can also make brilliant deep music like this beauty .
Equation – I’ll Say A Prayer For You
Many Nu Groove releases were big in Paris 90’s after parties. This sexy tune but also Aphrodisiac ‘song of siren ‘ have never left my afterhours playlist
