I see this guy as the electronic son of Robert Glasper. Great keys, soulful chords, twisted groove and good vibe. I’m quite a big fan of his world. ‘Oscilatte’ could have been another pick in his discography.

Frits Wentink – ‘Shrewd’
In the same area I really like this track of Frits Wentink. At first it might sound like a simple house track but more I listen to it, more I enjoy his drunken synth and sketchy groove.
Lhasa – ‘The Attic’
This track is definitely an old Belgian electronic classic, that’s the music I was surrounded with in 1990 when I was 16 and I still play it if the crowd is appropriate. I love the buggy shuffle of the drums, nothing is tight in this track, but it just works. probably the golden age of Belgian electronic scene.

Not so much to say, the track speaks for itself. An all-time classic. The original song was great, the Remix from David Morales was stunning. One of my all-time favorite vocal house tracks.
Common – ‘U, Black Maybe’ (Feat Bilal)
As HipHop is clearly one of my main background genres, I couldn’t make a playlist without at least dropping one. This track from Common is part of an album Called “Finding Forever” which is definitely his best album and part of my top 10 hiphop albums ever with Illmatic, The Low End Theory, The Chronic, Aquemini, Fear Of a Black Planet, Doggystyle, Enter The Wu Tang etc..
Pastor T.L. Barrett & the Youth For Christ Choir – ‘Nobody Knows’
This 70’s Shady song is all I like to dig if I end up on a street market. Soulful sunny gospel track with a piano and a funky beat surrounded by 100 kids glorifying Jesus and a pastor singing his soul on top of it. The base of most of the music I’m listening to today.
Opolopo – ‘Kobayashi Maru’
It might sound like a lil geeky description but I actually discovered Opolopo while geeking. Watching a video from Tokyo dawn Labs exploring the possibilities of their new plugin compressor. I Shazamed it directly. I quite like his 90’s vibe in general and this track in particular.
Serge Gainsbourg – ‘Histoire de Melody Nelson’
I used to hate Gainsboug when I was a kid. I later discovered what a genius he was. “Histoire de Melody Nelson” is one of his masterpieces. At this stage, the party’s over, your girlfriend lay on the sofa and begging you to stop playing anymore electronic music. You bring her a duvet, a big glass of water, you lay next to her and you play “Histoire de Melody Nelson” for the next 28 minute, Nothing else matters…
Mac DeMarco – ‘Chamber of Reflection’
If you’ve been lucky enough to find a lover just forget everything, get naked, play this track and make love.
