1. George Benson – Nature Boy
There has been many versions of this beautiful song, but this one gives me goosebumps every time !
2. Lim Taylor – The World Is In A Bad Situation
The great (and rare) soul-funk album “You hear me knocking” features this outstanding masterpiece. I would love to see this one reissued.
3. Five Special – Why Leave Us Alone
Fantastic string arrangements and a solid rhythm section. There’s an instrumental re-edit of this one that i can’t help playing in my dj sets.
4. Alice Russell – Got the Hunger (Llorca Remix)
Who said i didnt release anything between 2001 and 2016 under the “Llorca” moniker ?
5. Dee Dee Bridgewater – Bad For Me (Larry Levan Unreleased Mix)
Classic disco track produced by George Duke and mixed by Larry Levan, a perfect combo for an irresistible track !
6. Mandrake som – Berimbau (Bongo Reedit)
This percussion-only re-eedit of the classic Berimbau was released on Mr Bongo some years ago, and it still rocks the dancefloors !
7. Omar – It’s So
My favourite Omar track, sounds like a brazilian version of “Caravan” with vocals. Brilliant !
8. G Markus Edits – Mbala
G Markus keeps on releasing perfect re-edits. This one, out on his new imprint, makes no exception.
9. Adesse Version – In The Dark
Adesse Version adds a minimal and groovy beat to Vikter’s Duplaix’s “Manhood” vocals, making it the sexiest House music track ever.
10. G Marcell – @Noon
While he’s not prolific, Greg Marcell is one of the most exciting House-music producer today, prooving it again with this sensual and hypnotic house-music piece.
