Back To Mine with M.E.M.O.

From John Talabot to Paco Osuna, these are halcyon days for Spain’s electronic music scene. One man who looks to be following a similar trajectory to the aforementioned names is M.E.M.O, an emerging producer whose latest release comes out on the always inspirational and consistent Mobilee imprint. With that release having dropped recently and earning praise aplenty, he seemed like a good contender for the series indeed. Without further ado, here’s the tracks he’s plumped for…

1. Roman Flügel – 9 Years (DJ Koze Remix)

Both Roman Flügel and Dj Koze are capable of creating great atmosphere with their tracks, so it’s no surprise they take it up another level when they get together. This remix speaks for itself!

2. Amberoom – Minoo

Ovum’s grooves always catch my attention. Amberoom gives this track magic and class. Absolutely love it.

PREMIERE : Amberoom - Minoo [Ovum Recordings]

3. Simon Garcia – Radians

I think that Simon Garcia is one of the best producers in the country, and he always impresses with his music and its old school ethos. Regardless of whether it’s house, electronica or funk, the man delivers!

Simon Garcia - Radians [Freerange Records]

4. Genius of Time – Juno Jam

The way in which Genius of Time mixes the groove with the ethnic sounds in this track is very original. It’s risky, but it’s exactly that which nakes it so unique.

5. Matthias Meyer & Ryan Davis – Hope

This one is a beautiful and emotional sound for a sunny morning and a good dance. This work by Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis exudes melodic hope.

6. Sasha – Monogoose

One of Sacha’s many jewels! The automation of the main synthesizer drives me crazy, and I think it is one of the songs that I like most throughout my career. Definitely one I can idetify with a lot!

7. Argoman – Chimicalissimo

This is my favorite song from last summer. The structure and the way the sounds come and go are exceptional, as well as the simple and direct main melody.

Premiere: Argoman – Chimicalissimo (Original Mix)

8. Autarkic – Rotation! Rotation! (Red Axes Remix)

Following the Indi line, this Red Axes Remix is a classic for me – from some of the geniuses of electronica. So I feel more attracted to this type of sound that reminds me of my most alternative era.

PREMIERE: Autarkic - Rotation! Rotation! (Red Axes Remix) [Turbo]

9. SFire – Sfire 3 (John Talabot’s Tribalist Rework)

Another track that I’ve played a lot in afters this past summer, I’m uncoditional of everything that John Talabot does, this rework has that perfect vocal and groove hook to move the skeleton of the most romantic ones.

10. Pachanga Boys – Time

Of this blow of pachanga boys there is not much more to say, I’m sure that it is the closing track for the sessions of many djs of the planet. Simple and direct harmony that raises our souls. Love this.
