Back To Mine with Drumcomplex

1. Radiohead – Idioteque

I heard this track for the first time in an electro mix by Dave Clarke. This Melancholy paired with this deepness makes me happy for some reason and reminds me of old times.

2. Placebo – Running Up That Hill

There are a few remakes of this track that many say are better than the original but since I am of the biggest Placebo fans in the world, it’s all the better than the original comes from them and this one will always my favourite version.

3. The Visions Of Shiva – How Much Can You Take

When the piano tarts on this track I always get ! For me, it’s one of the best trance tracks of all time.

4. Beastie Boys – (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)

Back in the days when this album was released, I was skateboarding a lot and was listening to metal and punk. I didn’t have much interest in rap and hip hop, so when this track came out it was the perfect cross over for the Beastie Boys and me – such a cool track!

5. Vanilla Ice – Ice Ice Baby

Well, this number just makes you feel really good about everything in life, and I don’t think that I’ll ever get tired of listening to it. Its such a strong track, with a whole lot of memories!

6. C.Y.B. – Now

One of the first electro vinyl’s I actually bought back in the early 90s

7. Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit

The album changed us all. It was loud, cheeky and different. At this time I was fully into my puberty teenage years and it was the sound that caught the attention of all youth at that time.

8. Woodkid – Run Boy Run

I actually went to a show and saw Woodkid live without knowing who she was, and it hit me hard! Such a great live band, who I know follow and listen to regularly at home, in the car – where ever!

9. Biffy Clyro – Many of Horror (When We Collide)

I am an avid Biffo Clyro fan, and I think you either like them or you don’t. A bit like marmite! For me, it’s so extremely sensitive, deep, energetic and beautiful at the same time. Pop meets rock….who wouldn’t love that?

10. Drumcomplex – Ultimate

I decided to finish this selection with one of my own tracks, as this for me was the track that really started by career, and got things rolling for me as ‘Drumcomplex’. I still play and listen to it often, it’s a nice reminder of where I have come.

Drumcomplex’s ‘Disco’ EP is out this Friday the 17th May on EI8HT
