Back To Mine with Elliot Moss

After hours grooving in one of the coolest cribs Stateside

“False Flags” / Massive Attack
Beautiful, haunting tune… somehow feels like the band is wrapping around you on this one – especially in headphones.

“The Pills Won’t Help You Now” / The Chemical Brothers
These guys have a terrific ability to give a unique personality to each element. everything plays together so effortlessly here.

“Blue Clouds” / Modeselektor
Love these fizzy synths looping while the rhythm section chugs away. very heavy, dark groove… though the tune feels light and energetic to me… can’t name a lot of songs that do that.

“Great Release” / LCD Soundsystem
LCD are one of my favorites right now, big fan of this slow, growing track.

“Held Apart” / Arca
Celestial melody and stunning sounds.

“Everyday Robots” / Damon Albarn
Damon is a long-time favorite of mine. both the video and the song are mesmerizing.

“Unravel” / Björk
Aching, evolving layers here.. björk floats on top. probably my favorite tune from her, though it’s very hard to choose.

The Build Up” / Kimbra
Close your eyes and don’t open them until it’s over, okay? another wonderful headphone tune.

“Bonnie and Clyde” / Tricky
Such a dense, shadowy vibe here. love this entire record. tricky’s vocal doubles throughout tie the album together in a clever way.

“Locked” / Four Tet
The grooves four tet achieves are some of my favorites ever. they are alive.
