Back To Mine with Joyhauser

Portishead – ‘Wandering Star’

Can’t go wrong with some 90’s trip-hop. Dark and viby minimalism.

Rheingold – ‘Dreiklangsdimensionen’

Neue Deutsche Welle from the 80’s. Electropop as it should be!

Thom Yorke – ‘Suspirium’

Fragile beauty full of melancholic sadness. Instantly takes you away.

Balthazar – ‘The Boatman’

One of Belgium’s best export products next to chocolate. All their albums are great but this one keeps on sticking.

Metronomy – ‘I’m Aquarius’

Immediately sold when we first heard this. The 808 groove, the pacing of the lyrics. Just perfect.

Foals – ‘What Went Down’

Not your typical Foals song. The energy of this one is hard to tame. Pure power and rage!

A Flock Of Seagulls – ‘Wishing’ (If I Had a Photograph of You)

In for some 80’s vibes? This one takes you right back. Love the synths: atmospheric and nostalgic right down the line.

Moderat – ‘The Mark’ (Interlude)

Short but oh so powerful, we can listen to this one on repeat for hours. The main synth is just out of this world. Haunting really.

Placebo – ‘Humpty Dumpty’

Not the rock band Placebo but the 70’s Belgian jazz band led by Marc Moulin. Also sampled by J Dilla and many more.Timeless piece.

Sneaky Sound System – ‘Always By Your Side’ (Nicolas Jaar “Big” Version)

Love just about everything by Nicolas Jaar. An absolute master producer!
