Back To Mine with Soul Mekanik

Probably the best carry on party in the world

Hallo Halo – Tuff Beat.
Funhouse party-starter outta Stockholm. Coming soon on our new label ReVno.

Eddie Warner – Syncopated Motion.
Glorious uplifting library magic from Eddie the Anvil.

Robag Whrume – Pnom Gobal.
We’re big fans of Robag. And this is gorgeous . Rarely requested  because nobody can say it.

Galt MacDermot – Coffee Cold.
One of the greatest tunes of the 20th Century!

Jose Padilla – Adios Ayer (Paul Daly Remix)
Shockingly unknown downtempo balearic genius. Seek and thy shall be rewarded with a knowing grin.

Quarteto Uai – Marcas.
Lots of Brazilian party funk gets played after-hours and this has become a big favourite despite sounding like it could be a 70s cereal advert!

The Last Poets feat Bernard Purdie – Blessed Are Those Who Struggle.
Yes! Righteous truth funk proto-rap for all you genre junkies out there.

The Gino Fontaine – Revnorev / Konkondo.
When we grow up, we want to be in this group.

Bjorn Torske – Dubet.
The unlikely sound of Jamaican Norwegian’s wrestling harmoniously in a Turkish sauna.

Akufen – Even White Horizons.
Marc LeClair’s glacial dynamics resonate long after the track has ended. Beautiful.

The duo, individually and together have been involved in music for over 25 years with an epic and diverse catalogue of credits to their name, you are sure to have heard one or more of their creations under the evolving guises of Danny’s own trips with This Aint Chicago and Candy Flip, Danny & Kelvin together as part of Sound 5 and then just the two of them as firstly Sure is Pure and their most recent incarnation Soul Mekanik.  Acid house heroes and other highlights include writing a number one single with Robbie Williams, remixing the likes of Sister Sledge, The Doobie Brothers and Aretha Franklin no less.  It can be said that they have helped soundtrack some of the last two decade’s symphonic moments of dance floor gold.
