Excellent compilation that shows the versatility of the deep, funky
and freaky music of the Versatile label.
4. Dave Pike Set – Masterpieces – Universal Music
Great jazz record from 1969 from the master of vibraphone Dave Pike.
5. Kettel – My Dogan – Sending Orbs
Beautiful, fresh and warm melodic electronica from the north of the
Netherlands. Kettel brings us back to the better days of Warp records.
6. Bugge Wesseltoft and Sidsel Endresen – Out Here In There –
Jazzland Records
A poetic mixture of acoustic and electronic experimental jazz songs.
7. Scientist – Scientist rids the world of the evil curse of the
vampires – Greensleeves Records
Highly tripping dub album from my alltime favourite dub producer.
Great summer music, even for ‘non smokers’ like me!

Great sample based deep house soul album in the style of Moodyman and
Theo Parrish on Jazzanova’s record label.
9. CocoRosie – The adventures of ghosthorse and stillborn. – Toucn
and Go
Latest album from this great band. Fragile lo-fi r&b folk music about
animals and fairytales.
10.. Grandaddy – Just like the fambly cat – V2 records
One of the very few rockbands I still listen to with probably their
last album ever.. R.I.P Grandaddy, we loved you!
