MARK FARINA

Chris and Cosey “Techno Primitiv” LP.
This 1985 LP on Rough Trade and later on Chicago based Wax Trax combines sleepy, dreamy vocals with minimal industrial, great for cleaning your flat to.

The Art of Noise “In Visible Silence” LP.
Favorites on this great LP include “Legs” and “Peter Gunn” and reminds me of DJing in Tuscon in 1987.

Gino Soccio “Face to Face” LP.
One of the artists that got me into more disco sounding stuff from Industrial and Detroit Techno.

The Cars “The Cars” LP.
One of the first LPs I ever purchased, it still holds strong with too many tunes to list off this one.

Grace Jones “Island Life” LP.
Since first watching “Slave to the Rhythm” on video to seeing her live last year, when I opened for her in Belgrade, her music has always transported me to another planet.

Robert Plant “Big Log”.
Great 12″ that I got for $1.95, reminds me of driving down strange new highways.

Front 242 “Politics of Pressure” EP.
This 3 tracker is wonderful music to put on CNN or Fox News without the volume and watch the madness.

The Hillbilly Bears “Hillbilly Shindig” LP.
Great story on Hanna-Barbera with Paw Rugg at his finest. Good for the young and the old, anytime of day.
