Mick Wilson from PaperMacheTiger

We LOVE PaperMacheTiger at DMCWORLD. So when the band’s Mick Wilson gets set to announce his final installment of his Kisetsu collaboration series with Get Physical artist August Artier on RAWAX…well it’s the perfect opportunity to grab a Back To Mine off the lad. The Kisetsu series is made up of 4 parts, each named after a Japanese season, the fourth and final in the series is ‘Fuyu’ meaning winter in Japanese. Consisting of 4 original cuts, this is a more downtempo, leftfield release, produced to capture the attention of the listener with its sophisticated delivery and inspiration from Japanese culture.

Here comes Mick Wilson’s big Back To Mine…

Soft Cell – Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go

This is such an amazing track love it, but this extended mix was simply next level business.

The Weeknd – Blinding Lights

Talk about ‘80s revival this track brings it all back for me, will never get bored of this one wicked melodies and top notch synth work.

Bronski Beat – Small Time Boy

Let’s take it back to the ‘80s again, the synth line on this one is a classic, instant move your feet business and when the lush pads come in, heaven!!!

GrandMaster Flash and Melle Mel – White Lines

What an amazing record, the lyrics captured the times perfectly, complete wordsmiths.

Channel Tres – Top Down

Pure Cali funkster house Channel Tres makes house music that sounds effortlessly cool

Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers – Get Lucky

This will always put a smile on my face, such a lovely track.

Eagles – Hotel California

A classic plain and simple, great for a singalong, great for those LA vibes

Madonna – Like A Prayer

So many versions of this track but the live versions when the choir joins on stage in is a joy of music, so uplifting.

The Rolling Stones – Sympathy For The Devil

Rock Royalty so many tracks from the Stones would make any back to mine listing but I’ll go with this for its rock and roll magic.

The Passions – In Love with a German Film Star

Finishing off back on an ‘80s tip, always loved the haunting guitars and vocals on this single, one to sink into the sofa and drift away.
