Miles Davis – Blue in Green – Columbia Records
This is my all time #1 favorite piece of music EVER. For me, it’s an instant soother for my soul.

Nina Simone – Wild Is The Wind – Philips
The ultimate love song.

Barbara Streisand – Barry Gibb – Guilty – Columbia Records
As a kid, this song was in heavy demand for me. I was constantly listening to it. My father can attest to that.

Womack and Womack – Baby I’m Scared Of You – Electra Records
You want to see me let loose on the dance floor and lift my hands and exude joy, play this!

Kurt Elling – Blue In Green – Concord
I love pretty much every iteration of this song. I’m in love with Kurt’s voice and the lyrics he has to accompany this beautiful music is like icing on a cake.

J Dilla – Lightworks – Stones Throw
It’s a short piece of music, but packs such a powerful punch.

Louie Armstrong, La Vie En Rose, Decca
The first note of the piano stops me dead in my tracks. Whatever I’m doing, I stop and listen.
La vie en rose - Louis Armstrong

Alabama Shakes – Sound & Color – ATO
I find this song lives in my head. It’s the song that pops up and then I have to find it and listen to it.

OutKast – Liberation – LaFace
If you ever need a “fight” song, this is it. It’s the song that says, you got this, keep going.

John Coltrane – Naima – Blue Note
Much like the #1, it’s therapy in sound. It exudes serenity.
