Francesco Parente started producing at the age of sixteen and soon received support from the most respected artists in the underground scene like Nicole Moudaber and Marco Carola. In 2017 Francesco started playing in the famous clubs in his region followed by international bookings and support from his mentor Loco Dice, leading to releases on labels like Rawtentic, CUFF and HOTTRAX. Josh Kalker is influenced by the house and techno of the 90s. Since working full time in the studio and DJing in Europe, Josh has had the opportunity to release on labels such as La Pera Records, Nervous, Lost, Roush, Safe, Cryminal Hype, and many more. His music is supported by heavy-weights including Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Wade and Michael Bibi. Hey guys, a huge welcome to DMCWORLD. Where are you speaking to us from today?
Hello DMCWORLD! Thank you for having us. We are in Milan at the moment.
How would you each describe your musical sound and style?
We have been influenced from the 90’s different sounds. We have grown listening to a range of artists from Michael Jackson to Marvin Gaye, from Queen to Daft Punk, Bob Dylan, AC/DC, Green Day and we hope that our fresh sound could capture people from all ages. we like to be modern and discover new vibes everyday.
You’re both from Italy, have you been close friends for a long time? What brought you together for this release?
Yes, we are both from Italy. Our passion for music brought us together in 2016. We immediately bonded and became close friends. Our admiration for this amazing label that is HOT CREATIONS made us realise we should work on a project together.
The release, entitled Lost in Paradise is forthcoming on Hot Creations. The label must have been a big influence to you both over the years. Tell us what it means to be releasing on the label.
Hot Creations is for both of us a dream come true and the release of Lost in Paradise makes us really proud of this achievement. The release of this track on this label is a satisfaction for all the hard work we have always put in for this job.
British producer Wheats is on remix duty on the release. Are you both pleased with how it’s turned out?
Of course! For us, it is a real privilege to have our track remixed by him. We have followed him since the beginning of his career.
Do you have any advice for up and coming artists?
The only thing we would like to say is to be determined and believe in yourself. Always follow your instinct and don’t let yourself down if things don’t turn out as you want them.
