Hey Nick! Welcome to DMC World – where are you chatting to us from?

Yes DMC, I’m in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania USA!

Tell us a little bit about your background in music? How did you get started?

I fell in love with music when I was 8 years old and finally got around to playing piano! The Rest is history from there! I began writing songs around 12 years old and have not stopped since. I need to be creating something at all times.

You are a singer, songwriter and producer! A man of many talents! What area do you feel strongest in?

I would say lately in my songwriting. I have really been trying to improve with every track while also trying new things and trying to stay relevant. It is a constant learning process but that is what I love most about it!

Your new solo release ‘Let You Go’ is coming out on EDX’s label Sirup Music – congrats! Can you tell us a bit about the process and the inspiration behind the song?

The song came around in about 15 minutes. I felt inspired, got the humming idea at the beginning, found some chords on my guitar, and cranked the song out. It felt really good and I am very excited for this track!

What has it been like releasing on Sirup? How did it come about?

It has been an awesome experience! They are a fantastic label with an incredible reach. They really do a lot for the artist and care about us and this is something we value so much in a label.

What is the music scene like at home? Are shows starting up again?

There are some places to play live, but not as many as I wish! I would like to live near a city someday so I can play regularly and to different crowds often!

What have been some of the most memorable moments of your career thus far?

I would say just getting label releases, as well as working with so many talented people. It has truly been an incredible experience already! And this is just the beginning!

You recently released a feel good track ‘Blow My Mind’ with Brazilian DJ Wolsh. How was that collaboration and will you try make it out to Brazil to perform it live with him some day!?

The collab with Wolsh was so much fun to put together! He is a super talented and versatile artist so I loved working with him. And going to Brazil would be sick! That is definitely on my list of dream places to see!

If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?

I would have to say songwriter wise: Ed Sheeran. The guy is just a tank. Producer wise, I would love to work with Martin Garrix or DJ Snake. Really anyone though. I just love collaboration so much!

Any up-and-coming artists or producers on your radar that we should look out for?

There are so many talented and unique artists out there, it’s almost impossible to just choose one or two! I would say just support artists as much as possible.

What do the next few months look like for you musically?

I have several more songs in the works. Some collabs, some solo stuff. I am looking forward to sharing!

Thanks for chatting to us today Nick! Anything else you’d like to include?

I would just like to say, always stay optimistic in whatever it is you believe in. Don’t let other people ever try to tell you what you’re doing isn’t great, because it is. That is all!
