Back To Mine with Danny Snowden

UK artist Danny Snowden began his musical journey learning the drums and dabbling in guitar and piano. It helped to shape his kaleidoscopic musical palette with releases on Whoyostro, Rawsome Ltd and more. A versatile producer, Danny enjoys support from Prunk, Sidney Charles, and Sarah Story among others. No stranger behind the decks, his event label Sulko grows from strength to strength, showcasing his sound and energy – and now he returns with ‘Remember’ – a cool 4 track EP of 90s inspired jams. Enjoy his very special Back To Mine 10…

Kerri Chanlder – Atmosphere

Probably one of my favourite tracks ever made and one that has inspired me the most and sculpted my sound into what is today.

Mobb Deep – Shooked Ones (part.II)

I’ve loved this song for as long as I can remember, a track my older brother showed which really for me into hiphop. He was a massive hiphop fan, although I didn’t fully suit and got into my house and techno. Classic 90s/dusty hiphop will always have a place in my heart.

Arctic Monkeys – Mardy Bum

Another track I’ve known and loved for as long as I can remember. I could of picked any track in this album as it is definitely my favourite album as a whole. One I’ve grown up listening to.

Chase & Status – End Credits

As a kid, just getting into electronic music, Chase & Status were my favourite artists for years. Especially this track as I use to plug my earphones in and play the drums over the top to the joys of my parents and neighbours.

Katy B – On a mission

Growing up in the UK, and the days of dubstep were unrivalled and this track is too. Another absolute favourite of mine, remember hearing it played at Lovebox festival my first festival.

Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit

This track is easily the track I most enjoyed playing on the drums. and the one I kenw the best. Simple to play but felt so good. Such an epic track. My brother was a guitarist so he use to come into my bedroom and we would jam out to this on a regular basis.

The Jam – That’s Entertainment

One of my favourite, if not the favourite non electronic dance track of mine. A track that reminds me of my old man. A track that I’m going to make sure reminds my kids of me one day.

Inner City – Good Life

This track reminds me of my mum. A pretty instrumental track in my love for dance music. This track came out in an era I wish I was the age I am now. To really experience the partys and raves back in the 90s is something I would do if I was given the opportunity to time travel.

Joey Beltram – Energy Flash

In my opinion one of the greatest techno tracks ever made, and one of my favourite records ever made. This track reminds me of the club fabric, purely because I’ve heard it be played there so many times, it never, ever gets old and I’ll never get sick of hearing it.

Hans Zimmer – Time

I have a quiet love for film scores. Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore being my favourite. My love for the films Inception, interstellar and many more which Zimmer composed for and of course Lord Of The Rings which Shore composed for. Such powerful scores in these films and they’ve always stuck with me, especially this rack ‘Time’ from Inception.
