DMCWorld goes back to Mine with Fabio Florido.

4 Non Blondes – What’s Up

So many things were going wrong, as for every teenager. I used to sing it, out of tune, until I lost my voice. Many, many times!

Pink Floyd – The Great Gig In The Sky

Clare H.Torry powerful vocal improvisation together with the instruments raising such a pure tension, sent me to the moon and back one million times.

Deep Purple – Child In Time

It still echoes in the house when I return to Italy. When my father was stressed he would play it at full volume. An incredible song!

Michael Jackson – Beat it

In my humble opinion this track is one of the best from Michael.

2Pac – All Eyez On Me

One of 2Pac’s most beautiful pieces. Soundtrack of my afternoons from the age of fifteen onwards!

The Notorious B.I.G. – Hypnotize

I remember endless hot Italian summers playing “Grand Theft Auto” while listening to this song. Masterpiece.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Californication

Even though the only thing I could sing or understand was ‘Californication’, this song was the soundtrack to many difficult moments. Somehow the sounds swung me between anguish, strength and finally rebellion.

The Verve – Bitter Sweet Symphony

Nothing now can compare these feelings.

Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra)

Soundtrack to the end of my four years living in London, about 12 years ago, when I was just 24. It was played in every single corner. It marked a change in people’s styles! Amazing memories of Love and Pain all along.

The Cranberries – Zombie

I hated the system ever since I was a teenager. Very often I would play “Zombie” at full volume until my anger descended a bit. (R.I.P Dolores!)

‘Fabio Florido – Remixed’ drops on 28th July 2023 on Runa.
