7Rituals label boss Human Rias is a German DJ/producer who has released on the likes of Arjuna, Automatik, Eklektisch, and the brand new label arm of the notorious EXIT Festival. As well as releasing with them, he is also the head of talent relations with the brand also. From mesmerizing dance floor melodies to intimate melancholy, powerful drum beats and utter ecstasy, Human Rias is someone who plays from the heart. His goal is to convey the deepest emotions within him, to connect the dots between a wide range of genres. As he joins forces with DOBé to revamp Ukranian anthem ‘Guelder Rose’ as fundraiser for the Okhmatdyt tragedy, DMCWorld goes Back To Mine with Human Rias.
Human Rias, DOBé, Olha (UA) – Guelder Rose
This track holds a lot of meaning and also action to it. We made this back in April and launched a campaign with it in June for the abducted children of Ukraine. The track features my fiancé’s vocals, which give you goosebumps all over.
Eagles and Butterflies – Can’t Stop
I heard this one the very first time at the Loft in Amsterdam. Adriatique dropped it and my hair just stood up. Ever since this has been a track that gives me pure joy and happiness.
Hozier – Too Sweet
This is the track that makes me feel at home, regardless where I am. My fiancé sung it to me the very first time, and i will never forget it, Its our track to make us feel at home, even when I am out on tour on my own.
Creedence Clearwater – Have You Ever Seen The Rain
I’ve known this track for a very long time, but it had skipped my mind, until sitting outside in Vancouver on a sunny day and hearing this track, it brought back memories from my childhood, On top of that we may be working on a live rendition at the moment.
Brian Eno – An Ending (Ascent)
Brian Eno is one of my absolute favourite musicians. I will never forget when Ben Klock was closing his sets with it in 2019, and iI absolutely fell in love with it. I spent hours listening to the song on loop, writing poetry and painting. its a piece that gives me calm. With its melancholy and never ending journey, it s a piece made to calm the mind.
Fred Again – Me (heavy)
Yes there has to be a Fred Again track and this one in particular guided me through some pretty rough times and phases, and has been my go to again and again when the sky isnt so clear. In a very mysterious way, it lifts me back up.
Shervin Hajipour – Baraye
I had the honour to do an official remix of this grammy winning track, alongside with supporting brothers and sisters: Jan Blomquist, Victor Ruiz and Tao Andra, DOBe and a few more. its a track that stands for the freedom of supressed people that want nothing but a life we consider normal. Its a constant reminder that things aren’t as free as where we are, and that something needs to be done about it.
Reinier Zonneveld – Push It To The Limit
Timewarp 2023 Reinier drops this catchy and pushy tune creating instant happiness! Reinier is a dear friend and this track is the one i will always connect with our friendship, and to the hard working and creative talent that he is.
DOBé, Afnan Prince – Aperture
When DOBe first played me this track, i was just like wow! You have a collab with Ry X?! Turns out its the beautiful voice of an incredible being called Afnan Prince. Spine tingling, freeing and so much love in this tune.
Pachanga Boys – Time
A long relatively monotonous track, with an incredible vocal reminiscent of the time that goes by. Its a reminder for myself, to switch back to living right now and experiencing the moment rather than the constant drive for further and farther. A beautiful piece.
