Back To Mine with Lunar Disco

Australia-based but born out of the Parisian house music scene, Lunar Disco is DJ and composer Nicolas Blistene and his singer-songwriter partner Kate Elsworth. Together they have a unique mix of live vocals and richly textured electronic sounds that are deep, sensual and playful. Kate has worked with Sonny Fodera and Deep Dish on labels such as Defected, Mobilee, and Cafe Mambo, while Nicolas runs the French Kitchen label and has thrown events worldwide. As their news single ‘Terrible Happiness’, featuring a remix from Gumm. Drops on Suck My Disco, DMCWorld goes back to mine with Lunar Disco.

Kate: Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit

This one is influential for me as it was my first exposure to psychedelic rock and surf culture.

Nico: Jan Hammer – Crockett’s Theme (Miami Vice)

The ultimate track for getting spiffy in the mirror.

Nico: Snap – Pump up the Jam

First time I was ‘hit’ by electronic music.

Kate: The Roots – You Got Me ft. Erykah Badu

Always been a big fan of Erykah Badu. This one helps me totally picture some times in the past.

Kate: Tame Impala – Let It Happen

My go to for getting spiffy in the mirror.

Nico: Patrick Coutin – J’aime Regarder Les Filles

The best guitar riff and the best lyrics; this inspired our Telephone Rose EP.

Kate: Radiohead – Creep

Just lyrically and musically, it’s everything for me and it’s got the best drop ever made!

Nico: Gabriel Ananda – Doppelwhipper

When this was released I bought the vinyl in double to make sure I would have it forever.

Kate: David August – Epikur

I mean, does it get any better…

Nico & Kate: Nancy Wilson (You Don’t Know) How Glad I Am

Our track.

Lunar Disco ‘Terrible Happiness’ is out now on Suck My Disco.
