I was tickled pink to see team Diynamic back with Loveland again this year for ADE. With a power line-up on offer including Adriatique, H.O.S.H., Karmon, Magdelena, Lehar, Undercatt, Musumeci, Andy Bros, Butch and Thyladomid, the main man Solomun, along with live shows from Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Johannes Brecht, we knew the night was going to be a big fat dollop of techy heaven!
We entered into the main arena where H.O.S.H. was holding court, dishing out powerful pounding tech throbs and delicious ‘HOSHology’ to a sea of black t-shirt clad Techno lovers, basking in CO2 blasts and awesome light hues, the atmosphere was electric! With H.O.S.H. keeping the gigantic crowd well oiled, we dashed along a backstage rat run tunnel (hotly tipped by a man called Beer!) to the more intimate room 2. Everyone was bouncing off the walls to Johannes Brecht’s live wizardry, perfect underground vibes in a sweaty intimate setting – yeaaaaah!
Legging it back to main stage for more live magic, one of my favourite duo’s, Kollektiv Turmstrasse sent the vibe skyward as they journeyed between the emotional, tormenting and the exquisite, as dramatic bass growls and cosmic melodica ricocheted around the arena.
It has to be said, watching the synergy between theses two as they flex their techno buttons is simply awesome. We were then treated to an equally vibrant set from Adriatique, before finishing off our night on a massive high with… Butch! I’d never seen Butch before and desperately wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so as Solomun gallantly took control of the main room, we sneakily snuck off (sorry Solomun!) to catch the moustache clad maestro who had us euphorically bouncing right til’ the end.
Housing the party with his uplifting tech and vocal house flavours, everyone in the room was feeling the love, coming together for group hugs as he finished his set with Deep Dish’s classic ‘Stay Gold’… The perfect ending to a spectacular night!
