Party/show of ADE?
This year I played at the Lost/MadTech/Resonance party at De Balie and the Verknipt Special with my Moda Black Boys and the Do Not Sleep crew, the latter of the two was the highlight for me with a sell-out 3000 capacity, great production, great music and generally awesome vibes!
Standout tracks you played/heard during ADE?
I’m going to have to be biased and say a new collab from Josh Butler and myself lined up for release on Avotre, after getting a great reaction in the Moda Black room when I dropped it…then walking into the Do Not Sleep arena just as Josh was playing it and seeing the reaction this time from the floor was great! Looking forward to this one hitting the shelves!1
Top 100 DJ thoughts?
Hahaaa…well….to be honest I’ve not even had a proper look through. It’s become a bit of an industry debate really, particularly amongst the elite of the underground scene where so much talent is overlooked in favour of the now pop star cultured money yielding DJs of the EDM scene…and their super-talent based pre-recorded sets and cake throwing novelties ha! Don’t get me wrong, there are many who do their thing and do it very very well and deserve their placement, but in my opinion there also those who don’t so I don’t really pay much attention to it….

Haha my good friend Ingo, or ‘Tom Staar’ you might know him better as – but don’t tell his wife! ha!
Why is ADE so important in the dance community?
It’s a real chance for our industry to all come together, communicate, network, discuss new concepts/ideas, perform and generally help move the industry forward. It’s a great place to find out what’s going on, what’s new and up-coming and also to put faces to names/email addresses!
