Top 100 DJ thoughts?

Some artists prefer Pioneer equipment, others swear by Allen & Heath. Yet the gear to get you to the top in 2015 is definitely the iPad. Not to sound all bashful towards the ones who actually deserve to be on that list and act like a sourpuss, but the list used to be about talent, skill and creativity in the music industry, not about who’s got the biggest budget to bribe/hack/force themselves into that list. That being said, it still is an undeniable fact that it’s marketing money well spent.

Party animal of the week?

Cem from Outsiders (NL). Going hard from the first day to the last hour.

Why is ADE so important in the dance community?

It’s the only worldwide dance event that is equally about the upcoming artists as well as the well established names. I’ve seen the biggest names and talked to the young ones that still aspire to get there. ADE isn’t about a single event or a single genre, it’s hitting the market from all angles. It’s the place to meet all your international contacts and spot what’s hot and new in the scene. Only in a ‘free’ city as Amsterdam, there’s a culture that supports the inner city being one big meeting point full of industry heads and at the same time a party nirvana with parties that go seemingly without end.
