Back To Mine with Cesare

After hours grooving…with John Barnes

New Order (Feat. John Barnes)World In Motion
Because it’s John Barnes. Also the song is fucking cool

Thundercat + Eric Andre – Tron Song
The more you listen to it, the more it makes sense as a perfect pop song. Maybe the best/worst thing to listen to if you’re high. The video takes it to the next level.

PNAU – Baby (Breakbot Remix)
This is why remixes are important beyond promotional tools. It’s incredible. It has everything, funky & melancholic.

Jurassic Park Theme Song – John Williams
The best piece of music ever composed? Yes. And the slide-show pics in this video I found make it really cool.

Marcus Marr – The Music
Unreal arrangement. The song takes you on a 9 minute journey. It’s an instrumental disco symphony.

The Fugees – Fu-gee-la
‘The Score’ is the perfect chilled, after party record. This is my favourite track from the album. Raw production and great beats.

Luther Vandross – Sugar And Spice
Often overlooked, being on the same record as ‘Never Too Much’ but I prefer this song. So much funk.

Flight Facilities (Feat. Reggie Watts) – Sunshine
Reggie Watts is a genius. As are Flight Facilities. I don’t care much for song lyrics, so the nonsense here is perfect.

Shura – Touch
A beautiful track with amazing production. Everything about it works perfectly. And that bass sound.

Jon Hammer – Crockett’s Theme (Miami Vice)
A showcase for classic 80s synths and drum machines. Perfect blend of humour & cool, makes this great to listen to with friends.

Easter Party
Saturday 4th April @ Village Underground London
Featuring DJ Falcon & Alan Braxe, Kry Wolf, Waifs & Strays, Cesare, Danglo and One Bit (Live)
Advance Tickets £14.50 via Resident Advisor
After selling out the Valentine’s Day ‘French Kiss Party’ in February, the celebrated Parisian label have curated this phenomenal line up featuring two French legends, three acts from the recent ‘Kitsuné New Faces II’ compilation and a couple of rising UK underground stars to supply the dance floor with an infectious dose of house, bass and nu disco.
Headlining the festivities will be a special joint appearance by acclaimed ‘French Touch’ stalwarts DJ Falcon and Alan Braxe, whose collaborations with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk are now firmly transcribed in the annals of Electronic Music’s history. The duo will bring their colossal record collection to the party and promise to throw in some new surprises as well.
Hotly tipped duo Kry Wolf, still riding high from the accolades received for their debut album, ‘DNA’, released last December, will bring their unique brand of underground house to the stage. Joining them will be fellow Bristolian, Waif & Strays (Amos Nelson) with his intelligent, cerebral take on house music that is bound to keep the dance-floor moving.
Representing the Kitsuné label are Cesare, celebrating the release of his stellar remix EP, ‘Ipanema Beach House Remixes; UK bass wizard Danglo and emerging indie-dance 2 piece, One Bit, who will deliver a special live performance.
With such an array of in form artists providing the soundtrack to the night, this is one Easter party not to be missed.

Cesare’s new remix EP ‘Ipanema Beach House Remixes’ is out now via Kitsuné
After a bunch of acclaimed productions, including his catchy remix of “Lighten Up”, Citizens!’ first single to be taken from their forthcoming second album, Cesare is back fresher than ever in March 2015 with a delightful springlike EP.
The Brazilian producer is one of those who turn everything they touch into gold. His new EP in which he reinvents some made-in-Kitsuné gems like Chela’s hit “Romanticise”, Kilo Kish’s evocative “On The Way”, or Buscabulla’s vaporous “Métele”, is the prefect demonstration of his talent.
In other words, Cesare delivers a disco-funk package, which will give you a foretaste of summer and which will take you for a beach party in Copa Cabana.
