Back To Mine With Danglo

After hours grooving with the quickly rising UK Bass producer

Canterbury Tale – Dreadzone
I saw these guys at Reading a long long time ago, and was blown away by this, and still am.

Transmission 2 – DJ Shadow
I had to chose something off the Endtroducing album. One of the first electronic albums I listened to as a kid.

93`til infinity – Souls of Mischief
My mums friend’s son introduced me to this when I was 14 or so in San Francisco. It reminds me of hanging out in a limo (that had no engine) and going to ‘bonfire parties’ on the beach.

Everything In Its Right Place – Radiohead
Those chords are just perfect. Tracks like this are almost good enough to make me give up completely.

Moon Circles – Maribou State
Huge fan of these guys. I had a cheeky sneaky listen to some demos for their album recently. Phwoar.

In Progress – Trentemoller
When I first started getting back into house when I was 18 after laying down my guitar, this was everything! I still love playing it out now.

Cloud Cuckoo – Sasha
Same again here, Sasha’s fantastic ability to play with soundscapes and maintain interest is second to none!

In White Rooms – Booka Shade
It’s all taking me back too much. I’m dropping this in my next DJ set, you mark my word.

Wasting My Young Years (Henrik Schwarz Remix) – London Grammar
I’m a huge fan of London Grammar and Henrik Schwarz so this just makes perfect sense.

Deep Blue Day – Brian Eno

Night Night everybody. I’m nackered.

Danglo ‘Spotlight’ (Kitsuné)

Danglo, the UK bass newcomer takes advantage of the summer heat and releases his first EP on Kitsuné “Spotlight”, on July 28th. Danglo is a South East London fast rising talent whose profile has built up over the last twelve months in the exploding UK bass scene remixing the likes of Maribou State and Say Lou Lou, picking up good club and radio support from Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss, Capital Xtra and XFM along the way.
For his first release on Kitsuné , the young producer is making a splash with an EP containing three uplifting original tracks: “Spotlight” showcases the bouncy 90s garage-influence of the producers’ sound, whilst “Drifter” (featuring Estonian songstress Liisi Koikson) delivers hypnotic bass and shows a darker and deeper side. Finally, “Forget You” offers summer vibes with pounding drums and an infectious steel drum hook!
Backing up the originals, 2 great remixes from the upcoming Birmingham based producer Golden Boy and a powerful clubby version signed DE$iGNATED complete the package. Lively and singular with a sunny live show to match, danglo will be playing several Kitsuné Club Nights this summer!

Danglo ‘Spotlight’ is out on Kitsuné – 28th July 2014
