Back To Mine with Fabrício Peçanha

After hours grooving with one of Brazil’s finest…

01. Deep End by Coucheron ft. Eastside & Mayer Hawthorne
This song is fantastic, sensual, modern and pleasing to the ears. I really like the indie rock style vocals.

02. Kiss Me by Jazzotron & Maat Bandy vs Jamie Berry
This track is NuDisco with a difference, with samples from the 60’s the mixture turned out super interesting.

03. Synapson by Djon Maya Mai ft. Victor Deme
Take Latin percussion and guitar, put on a perfect vocal and you will have a success. This song really touches me.

04. Sentiment Acide (Jennifer Cardini remix) by David Shaw and The Beast
This track is very cool, the retro groove and a NuDisco base have really caught my attention. David Shaw did a great job.

05. Set Me On by Qtier
Various remixes of this song were released by famous producers like David August, but I’ll still stick with the original. The music was not made for the dance floor, but perfect to listen to in the car or a more relaxed place.

06. Fallen Down (Club Mix) by Nadastrom
I really like this track, its modern and different. A super innovative groove with a vocal that is super freaky. The remix by producer John Martin also turned out great.

07. The Jungle (original Mix) by EDM
Here the producer was really able use classic samples well, like Grand Master Flash, a groove killer. Great for the dance floor or wherever you want to cheer people up.

08. All 4 U ( Original Mix) by Art Department, Jaw
The duo Art Department nailed it here. Good music to the ears, smooth vocals with beats that perfectly accompany any music. Harmony in every way.

09. Stolen Dance (Album Version) by Milky Chance
Beautiful song, that has the power to touch anyone. A simple groove, but the vocals and the guitar that it comes with are really breathtaking. Perfect song for any time

10. We Are Together by Planet Of Sound
A simple and very good track, it is reminiscent of the summer that brings good feelings when played. The video is very cool too.

Fabrício Peçanha

Hailing from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul in Southern Brazil, Fabrício Peçanha has secured himself the accolade of one of Brazil’s biggest DJs and is now primed to develop an already burgeoning reputation across the rest of the globe. His Beatport-bestselling productions are more than good enough to make him a serious contender within the top rank of global DJ/producers, with vibes ranging from grimy heads-down warehouse jackers, to pristine, uplifting deepness and bouncy bass-driven rollers.
Killer tracks by Fabrício take in several forms of underground house music, from tech, deep, acid, vocal, to more funk-driven classic US style sounds, with the blood pumping though each vein being consistently deft production and stealthy effectiveness on the dancefloor.
Supporters of his music are far reaching across a spectrum of big names, including Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Wally Lopez, Umek, Cristian Varela, Joyce Muniz,Volkoder, Tale Of Us, Format B, Sierra Sam, Ben Weber, Axel Eilers, plus Kruse & Nuernberg. Sasse, Namito, Martin Eyerer, Wehbba, Rainer Weichhold, Robert Babicz, Phonique and Namito have not only played Peçanha’s music out, but also remixed his work, with the latter two also collaborating with him in the studio.
If this stellar list of jocks isn’t testament enough to the calibre and credibility of his music, the labels he’s released on ads yet more clout. With ‘Panic Attack’ already out on iconic NY imprint King Street and another EP pencilled with them for November, Fabricio finds himself on an esteemed roster that has been home to Louie Vega, David Morales, Lil Louis, Tony Humphries, Ron Trent, DJ Pierre and Kerri Chandler.
‘I Want You’ and ‘Silver Lining’ – both released on Berlin’s Moodmusic records – saw Peçanha in equally impressive company, with the label also releasing tracks by Henrik Schwarz, DJ T, Mugwump, Common Factor and Sasse. Other imprints worldwide to release music by Fabrício are Lo Kik, Vintage Music, Sex Panda White, Indiana Tones, D2 Records, The Factoria, Ladies & Gentleman,Formatik, Elements Digital, Definition, Factomania, Audiobuzz, Remud Records, Urbr and Jah Love. Fabrício’s mastery in the studio is matched by his skills as a DJ. He has wowed crowds on world-leading floors like Cocoon in Frankfurt, Avalon in Los Angeles, DC10, Amnesia and Space in Ibiza, not to mention gigs in the US, Switzerland, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Switzerland England and China – where he was the first Brazilian DJ ever to play. At home Peçanha has legions of devoted fans who regularly and rapturously enjoy his sets at the biggest Brazilian parties. He was one of the few residents at Warung – a club that’s regularly referred to as one of the best in the world.
Other huge Latin-country-based clubs, raves and festivals to have been lifted by his presence include MegAvonts, Parada da Paz (São Paulo), Rio Parade (Rio de Janeiro) Recife Beats, SWU, Planeta Atlântida, Fulltronic, Green Valley festival, Mixmag’s Brazilian party, Tribaltech, Skol Sensation, and every single Skol Beats – which is recognised as Brazil’s most important electronic music festival. In Argentina, Fabricio was the first Brazilian to DJ at Creamfields. He rocked the Buenos Aires Energy Parade crowd of more than 150,000 people and headlined the biggest electronic music event in Latin America – the Aca World Sound Festival in Acapulco, which was attended by 300,000.
Fabrício opened for Lady Gaga, Madonna and Fat Boy Slim during their respective tours of Brazil, whilst other DJs he has shared bills with include Kevin Saunderson, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Jamie Jones, Solumun, Justice, Sven Vath, Little Louie Vega, John Digweed, Deep Dish, Ritchie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Derrick May, Dave Clarke, Hernan Cattaneo, Circulation and Armin Van Burren. As well as being a leading emissary for house and techno in Brazil, Fabrício was instrumental in the development of the country’s embryonic scene. He played at and organised the Fulltronic parties In Porto Alegre and founded the now folkloric club Spin, in the state capital.
Other accolades include wining ‘Best DJ’ in Brazilian publications House Mag and Cool Magazine’s yearly lists twice and six times respectively, whilst Leading Brazilian clubbing site Fly By Night awarded Fabricio ‘Best DJ 2012’. His dedicated work ethic is matched by a consistent release schedule. With more winter 2014 and 2015 releases to be announced imminently, next up is ‘The Walk’ EP on Ukrainian label Sex Panda White/Da Way. The first of the EP’s three guaranteed floor-fillers, ‘The Walk’ builds pressure to fever pitch. Expansive chugger ‘Just Music’ is catchy as hell and a contender for bassline of the year, whilst ‘Walter White’ is a classy, epic groover. From his origins a pioneer in developing dance music in Brazil, to becoming not only a homegrown star, but one of greatest DJs in South America, Fabrício Peçanha has achieved a lot, but it’s only the beginning. Expect global recognition to be just around the corner.
