Back To Mine with Too Many Ts

After hours grooving as the boys go Running Wild

People Under the Stairs – Trippin at the Disco
When you come back to ours there would usually be a few distinct stages – the first is still party mode, you’re buzzing, you wanna have fun. This is the tune. Mega dope disco and hiphop seamlessly blended and if you’re on youtube you get a jokes video to boot.

Jai Paul – BTSTU
Turning the volume up a bit, we whack on Jai Paul’s instant classic, there’s always someone who hasn’t heard it and goes absolutely mental. Such creativity in this tune.

Grazmatik – My People
After debating whether to put in some future funk from Griz or the genius that is Gramatik, we settle on their collab, Grizmatik. The right amount of funk and filth and as always by both, expertly soundscaped.

Three Loco – Neato
Round off the party section with one of our bands personal favorite anthems. Its a bit silly, but you cant deny how heavy the simplicity of the beat sounds, especially when cranked up. Dirt Nasty on the 3rd verse is the highlight.

Wax – Coins
Moving on to the really impressive stuff where you just want to talk over everyone, put your fave youtube video on and watch peoples jaws drop. This track is the first of those – Wax is big on youtube but not a household Hiphop name, but he really is one of the best lyricists we’ve ever come across – the right mix of flow, jokes and sense.

Reeps One – Metal Jaw (live version)
Undoubtedly one of the best and certainly the most creative of beatboxers around. You just cant not be impressed and entertained by this track and video. We both are not metal fans, so this is literally our favourite metal track too, haha.

RA The Rugged Man – Definition of a rap flow
The last of the ‘super impressive’ section – people often ask us about flow and rhyme patterns and how you come up with them. This track has so many flows its great talking point on that issue – its more just an exemplar rap piece than a song as such. But RA has thrown in a catchy hook for the non hiphop peeps you’ve brought back too 😉

Q-Tip – Let’s Ride
Moving on to the chillin section of the night, its getting late, start winding it down with some laid back head nodders. This Q-tip track has been a fave for nearly 15 years, such a low slung chiller with wittty raps about how much Q loves his rides. Niiiiiice. Good one to bump in the car too.

The Mouse Outfit – Shak Out
Arguably the best hiphop group to come out of the UK in a long time. Sparkz (who features on our new EP) absolutely kills the verses, but its the hook that makes this tune, sooooo much vibes, effortless.

Nightmares On Wax – Be There
Let’s start departing soon guys, its been a killer night as always, jokes I will remember forever – are you staying?? OK great, double winning, lets roll one up and whack this tune on repeat then. Thank you as always Nightmares on wax.

Too Many T’s ‘Running Wild EP’  (Drop Cat Records)
The T’s have been breathing fresh life into the Hip Hop scene for nearly three years and, in that time, they have supported some of their childhood hero’s on stage; Big Daddy Kane, Wu Tang Clan, Ugly Duckling and, as part of the upcoming tour, Charli 2na. They have reached audiences on 6Music and XFM as well as performing at some of the UK’s biggest and best festivals. This year alone saw the South London duo perform an official set on Bestival main stage, they drew the biggest crowd ever at Friday’s opening set at Secret Garden Party on Temple of Boom stage, Shambala Festival, LeeFest, Camp Bestival, where they warmed up for De La Soul (the last 9 minutes of which was entirely acapella!) and Glastonbury Festival where they played no less than eight shows including the “Opening Number” set where Mr. Eavis himself was seen on the dance floor.
Leon Rhymes and Standaloft step up with their next release and they have recruited a number of friends they have met over the last few years to create their largest and best output to date. The EP effortlessly weaves back and forth between the T’s and a collection of the hottest up-and-coming and established rappers whilst slickly flowing through a number of guest producers. The distinct sense of positivity and Old School vibes is what ties this whole release together, and Too Many T’s are at the helm. Whether that be during the nod to Cypress Hill in ‘Smoking Goodies ft. Sparkz’, or the feel-good summertime anthem ‘Running Wild’, the gritty parody track ‘Wish I Never ft. HypeMan Sage’, or the allstar track, ‘Butter Rug’, which features a wealth of rappers including ‘Abdominal MC’ and ‘Lazy Habits’. The Running Wild EP is guaranteed to appeal to the duo’s diverse fan base, old and new. Too Many T’s are very much ready to take on the next level. Headfirst.
With blog support and exclusive previews on Word Play, hhhhappy.com, This Is 50 and Monkey Boxing and radio support from both John Kennedy & Eddy Temple- Morris on XFM, Running Wild EP goes to prove that Too Many T’s are once again creating huge waves with their fresh take on Old School Hip Hop.
