Back To Mine with Weaver Bros

After hours grooving as the duo get set for Motion and Cirque Du Soul…

1. Onyx – Slam
For when you first get in from the club, squad in force and on a hype. Onyx come play London once a year at the Jazz cafe and we’re always the first in line to buy tickets.

2. 2 Pac – All About You
With cameos Candy in the back ground this touring anthem is just such a nice groover.

3. Ray Charles – Shake A Tail Feather
This has to get a mention purely for the amount of times we’ve played it, I think we probably played it at our first ever set. Never fails to provoke a reaction, some people leave the floor, but most jump up and get twisting’.

4. DJ Marky & XRS
Party in full swing, nothing better than a summery jungle anthem.

5. Nuttin Nuh Go So – Notch
We play a lot of music with caribbean influences so had to choose one, same riddim as some more commercial dancehall so easy do some live mashup mixing into some real crowd pleasers.

6. Mustapha Dance – The Clash
Quite a few years ago now we used to run a night in Notting Hill called Cola Wine, it was every Friday til late. At the first few we finished the night with Rock the Casbah, then one time we didn’t, and someone came up to us and said ‘hey, where’s casbah??’ so it became a bit of a thing after that and we closed every Friday for the next 3 years with either Casbah, or this instrumental B-side, which for us works way better mid set.

7. Rolling Stones Miss you (Em Vee Edit)
Big edit of a big tune! We love the stones, but it’s hard to play most of their stuff sometimes without sounding like a wedding DJ. This is one of the few actual vinyls we still carry around just in case. Perfect for bringing down the vibe a little, but keeping the groove.

8. Hey Ma – Camron
Time for one more jokes party tune before the cabs start arriving, even the beard scratchers will get up for this for one last dance.

9. Nightmares On Wax – 70s 80s
One of our all time chill out tunes.

10. Deep Forest – Deep Forest (Album)
Just the A-listers left now.. Draw the curtains, push the sofas together facing each other, get comfortable and play this record out in full, while you drift off into a world of jungley pan-pipe bliss.

Cirque Du Soul is a travelling collective energy of colour, magic and dance. Across the country, we create vibrant underworlds built of playful, open-minded partygoers, massive musical variety, weird and wonderful backdrops, and an unrivalled attention to detail unique to urban clubbing.
Entry into these seductive wonderlands is coveted. Aside from its fresh selection of world class DJs and performers, each night is handcrafted and unique to the next – no singular experience is the same.
You have to play by the rules of the circus. Long tails and corsets, top hats and canes, glitter, sequins and feathers, blacks, reds, golds – the boys dress up and the girls dress down.
Cirque Du Soul’s signature cocktail of burlesque, bass and uninhibited bohemia has cemented its reputation as the nation’s favourite feel-good party with an edge.
