Dannic a huge welcome back to DMCWORLD dude! Where in the world are you today?
“Hey DMCWORLD, I just got back from Hungary and a really busy weekend playing a show in the UK on Friday and another in Budapest on Saturday. It’s been a lot of fun, both great shows and places I love to play.”
What was the first piece of music you heard this morning?
“My Alarm clock……and my brand new remix for Andrew Rayel.”
A new year and another Dannic production causing mayhem on the world’s dancefloors. This time around it’s down to your mesmerizing Edit of BYNON & Domeno’s Golden Hearts’ that features Swedish songstress Alice Berg. Please talk us through your work on this vocal led, melodic treat….
“When I heard the original I loved it straight away and heard the potential. I started editing/mixing the track and added some of my own elements. It was an instrumental demo and I knew it would be great with the right vocal. Alice Berg did an amazing job on the track. I’m so pleased with how its come together. The fans have really taken to it which is always reassuring and its been going down very well in my sets and I’m getting some amazing feedback.”
You are back at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day night…nice little video playing the slots on a recent visit winning thirty cents!! What is the most you have ever won in Sin City?
“Haha actually I’m not so lucky when it comes to gambling. But ones I was bored and played a slot machine for only 2 minutes and I just pressed max bet because I wanted to go and grab some food. I won 450 dollars with that quick play.”

“Right now I really love playing…
My edit of ‘Golden Hearts’…this song has so much emotion and is special to me.
Hardwell – ‘Eclipse’ – super proud of my buddy for his amazing album. This track goes off!”
Andrew Rayel – ‘Dark Warrior’ (Dannic Remix)…just finished this monster. Loved the original and I didn’t hesitate when Andrew asked me to remix it.
Dannic – ‘ID’, a new track I started on the road in Asia which does big damage to the dancefloors. Looking for a vocal right now.
Dannic & Lucky Date ft. Harrison – ‘Mayday’ – out soon on Revealed this is my new single. Super proud of the outcome and great vocals by Harrison.”
Where were you on New Years Eve and what did you spin at midnight?
“I was in Macau, China. At midnight we were watching the fireworks. My set started around 1. So that was big fun.”
‘Science’ for many cast a huge spell over the whole summer season. What have you got lined up for this year?
“I am really looking forward to this year. I’m playing big shows again and can’t wait to premiere all my new tracks that I’ve been working on, a lot of the tunes have been made with the festival season in mind.”
Absolutely loved the new Front Of House TV episode you brought us last week. Nice to see you being honest about when things go wrong such as when the stage effects didn’t go to plan at the 808 Festival. You look as though you enjoy being on camera?
“Yeah it’s cool. I really enjoy doing the FOH series. I feel it gives fans so much more of an insight into your life, for a lot of them all they see if you turn up in a club, play records for two hours then leave. And I really want my fans to be as much a part of my journey as I am. At first it was a bit strange being on camera constantly, but then it’s a close friend that shoots all the footage, so after a short period I forget its there.”

The UK love you! And for one lucky club we witnessed the Dannic magic up close and personal a couple of weeks ago. How was your trip to Digital in Newcastle upon Tyne…they are mental in the north east!!!!!
“I have to say, that club is really, really amazing! What a crowd and the production is mental. I always love playing in the UK. Super nice people and so much energy coming from the crowd, plus you guys know how to party!”
A celebrity you would not want to get stuck in a lift with?
“Miley Cyrus.”
When was the last time you pressed rewind and listened to a track over again because it was so damned good?
“Today, I was listening to some old tunes from Jamiroquai. Love that guy!”
Tell us 3 bucket list adventures you wanna do in your lifetime?
1) See the Northern Lights
2) Race a Ferrari
3) DJ on the Chinese Wall
A tune nestling in your set that just won’t go away from last year?
“My own track ‘Clobber’. Just doesn’t get old somehow, it still gets the same response from the crowd as when I first dropped it, so it’s one I keep coming back to.”
What is the 1 festival you cannot wait for this year and why?
“Tomorrowland. Last year was my first time and it really was one of my personal highlights. It’s an incredible set up, and the promoters have each year taken it to the next level. I think last year was their tenth anniversary and it keep getting better and better.”
A DJ buddy you love spinning back to back with…
“My best B2B has to be Dyro and myself at EDC last year. It was amazing, the crowd the set, playing the music you love with one of your best friends in that setting, it still puts a smile on my face.”
And a DJ buddy you always regret going partying with!?!?!
“Haha that has to be Hardwell. The two of us go back a long way and we always are getting into trouble together, were both boys from Breda after all…”
And finally, what else can you reveal about Dannic in 2015? What else have you up your sleeve for us all?
“Lots of new tracks, I spent the last few weeks working really hard in the studio finishing a load of new material so I can’t wait to share this with you at a show in the near future.”
