The Frankfurt super producer gets set for Amsterdam and DGTL

Hey Roman welcome to DMCWORLD. Where in the world are you today?
“Right in the middle of my beloved hometown Frankfurt.
What was the first piece of music you heard this morning?
“I’m a big fan of Morrissey…and his album ‘Your Arsenal’ was the perfect soundtrack when I got my face shaved.”
As the new year splutters into life the world it seems the world is already going festival crazy. We are all getting excited about The DGTL Festival in Amsterdam on April4/5 where you will be appearing alongside such deck royalty as Jamie Jones, Dixon and Maceo Plex. You’ll be spinning a special back to back set with Michael Mayer…is there ever any communication before the set between whoever you are doing back to back…or is it just always off the cuff?
“It is probably the case. I guess especially for some of my colleagues who think that life is nothing but a constant challenge. But not for Michael and me since we’re definitely interested in what the other one is spinning. We’re both music lovers who are still up for the exchange of hidden knowledge.”
Is there ever any rivalry between the two DJs about who can spring the biggest surprise tune?
“Mostly not. The magic of improvisation spices up the life of any highly skilled DJ…”
When was the last time you pressed rewind and listened to a track over again because it was so damned good?
“Benedikt Frey’s track ‘Out Of Here’…soon to be released on Hivern Discs. It is just breathtaking…”
Tell us 3 bucket list adventures you wanna do in your lifetime?
“Being able to fly a plane. Going on safari in Africa. And building a snowman with my grandson.”
A celebrity you would not want to get stuck in a lift with
“Haha. Not to sure about Kanye West after his ‘performance’ at the recent Grammys.”
A producer who sends shivers down your spine every time you hear one of his pieces of work?
“I just got a new remix of Barnt for the label ‚Holger’ from Leipzig. This guy is something special. Always.”
