Back to Mine With FLVN

Frenchmen Flavien Gaubert aka FLVN grew up on a mix of Bowie and Radiohead, the noise of Sonic Youth and the bold bass of Soviet Soviet, and all that comes out in his own music. It’s a new and raw take on techno-disco that is psychedelic and full of surprises on labels like Night Noise and Playground. As his new ‘Sensaciones Platonicas’ EP drops on bORDEL Records, DMCWorld goes back to mine with FLVN.

She Past Away – Katarsis

This was my sound of summer 2019. Maybe I don’t really like the sun.

French Police – Club de Vampiros

A song that makes me dance from the first note, a sound that I would have liked to produce.

Vox Low – Something Is Wrong

This is the top one for me. It came out when I started producing music and, for me, it was the purest rock my ears had heard.

FLVN – Yule

It’s weird to put a personal sound in a top ten but it’s perhaps one of the few that I play, and I enjoy playing, from my little discography.

Order89 – Vertige

My favourite song to play live with my band, it drives me crazy!

Electrosexual – Fetish [ASFR] – Mondowski Remix

It’s in all my USBs, in my phone, my computers. He’s top three and he’s not third.

Curses and Perel – Gold and Silber

This one makes me feel like I can get up on a train and cross it like Travolta.

LE NOISEUR – Sexual Tourism (David Shaw and The Beat Remix)

I think I fell in love with David when I heard this.

BFRND – French Connection

A recent discovery that did me a lot of good at a time when music was starting to no longer do much for me.

Courses – Dead Last (FLVN REMIX )

This one is for the brotherly side. I love Curses. He likes me too, I think…

FLVN ‘Sensaciones Platonicas’ EP is out now on bORDEL Records.
