Always a tough one answering something like this as there are so many good tunes knocking around. I would have to say AMTRAC – Hold On has been one of the most memorable tunes for us. It’s just so good. Even though it has only been around a couple of months it’s just such a top tune with all the vibes in all the right places.
Party of the year
For us it would have to of been our pretty local gig at Tank in Sheffield. The atmosphere in there is sick and it is full week in week out with top names. Good to see a club in the UK that still has a packed out underground movement and can’t wait to get back there in November.
DJ performance of the summer
Seeing Tensnake tear Pacha a new one back at IMS this year was mind blowing. His set was a little fidgety and his track selection was held back with just the right amount of party. A super talented DJ – we are both big fans..
Breakthrough DJ of the Ibiza season
It’s been great to see a few artists we have known over the years rise the ranks and hit the white isle. We weren’t there for the set but SKT playing for Defected at Amnesia has to be the one for us. Steve is a top bloke who works hard and amazing to see him at the top with defected in one of the world favourite clubs!
Best club night promotion / marketing of the summer
The Beatherder festival. We didn’t play there this year but we go every year whether we play or not to hang with our DJ buddies. It’s still not too big but big enough to have an amazing time. Like a little mini glasto that gets better every year.
An old tune you pulled out of the bag that went down a storm
Red Carpet – Alright (Brad Carter Remix) Finished a couple of sets off with this to lift the mood at the end of a heavy set. everyone knows the words to this and it’s the last thing anyone would expect to hear from us. We have so much love for this tune.
And finally – another summer destination that rocked this year
For us it had to be Magaluf. The island is insane but everyone is up for a party and there was nothing but a top atmosphere. It was refreshing to see a crowd that wasn’t a cheese fest that wasn’t Ibiza.
