Fresh from her busy European summer tour, Lady Bee continues to make her mark on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash imprint thanks to a brand new serving of infectious remixes of ‘Homeless Heart’ courtesy of Shelco Garcia & TEENWOLF, Pyrodox, Tank & Cheetah, Hasse De Moore and Wonderface.

You’ve had great support from the track including 5 remixes. What does that feel like?
It feels so unreal. It’s such a special track for me. We managed to translate my emotions into this song and have been getting great support and feedback since releasing, it is the greatest feeling ever!
Is it exciting to see your original track interpreted in different ways?
Yes! I don’t tend to stick to one genre and seeing my track interpreted in five different ways is therefore really cool.
On the single you collaborated with Grace Tither. Have you always been a fan?
Working together was actually the first time we met each other. Since then, I think she is really talented!
What was it like working with a vocalist on the track? Did you work on the single in the studio together?
We worked together in the studio. She was really easy and fun to work with.
Grace’s sound perfectly compliments the track. Did you have a certain sound in mind when searching for a vocalist?
When I have a demo I send it to selected singer / songwriters, then we choose the best one. With this track however it didn’t go like that. I joined a writing/producing camp with a lot of producers, vocalists and songwriters. I got assigned in a team which Grace was also part of. I was lucky being able to work with her. I was in the right place at the right time.
How did the track come about?
At that time I was going through a break up. During the same period I attended the writers’ camp. I talked about it and Grace and Amber understood exactly what I was getting at. This track was a natural progression.
Are there any other artists that you would like to collaborate with in the future, whether it’s a producer or vocalist?
I would love to work with Adele!! Imagine Adele on one of my trap beats. That would be awesome. And at the moment I have a track on repeat: Shakka – Say Nada. I added him too to my collab bucket-list.
Do you like sticking to a specific sound or genre? Or can we expect future singles to show experimentation with different genres?
I like every genre of music. I don’t like to stick to just one, but in most of my productions you can always find a little brass sound. I love the sound of brass! You can expect different things in the future!
Did you get to play your new single on tour? Did it get a good reaction?
Yesssss, I did! The track got a good reaction, even though it was a new track for a lot of people.
And finally, do you have anything else exciting coming up that we can look forward to?
