Dude a huge welcome to DMCWORLD…where in the world are you today?
Thanks!! Right now I’m in Buenos Aires in the middle of a tour waiting for the next weekend.
The best piece of new music you have heard since rolling out of bed this morning?
I just received the remix of Popof for my new release with Luca Donzelli called “Going Crazy” which will be released on Wow! Recordings.
We loved your remix on Luca Donzelli’s ‘The Abuela’s Tool’…we are hearing whispers about more new music from yourself on Do Not Sleep, Sanity, Cajual and of course your very own WOW! Recordings. What can you reveal to us?
Yes!!!! We have new music soon out on these labels as own releases or remixes but not sure exactly yet when the release dates are. At the moment, I have a lot of news but I cant announce everything just yet.
What are the 5 big tunes in your box this weekend…
There are a few tracks which I’m all the time adding to all my sets which for sure will be part of the soundtrack next weekend.
909 Til Infinity – Don’t Clock Me Out
I just love this track, very old skool but at the same time very powerful with amazing bass and crazy drums.
Luca M, Andreas Henneberg – Proper Job (Luca M Remix)
Normally I like all productions of Luca and this one is now one of my top picks, I always play it in the Techno part of my set.
Rascalillo, Ssant – Keep Going
Fits like a glove in my sets and I love it!
ATFC – Git Yo Hands Up
Super cool track which keeps the balance of the night. It’s ideal to make a break without a break, you know what I mean???
Infinity Ink – Too Strong
Some classic vocals with some acid and you have this track!!
I love the description of yourself on your Facebook site… “One of the last real DJs of Ibiza”. As we approach the Opening Parties, what are your thoughts on the state of Ibiza’s clubs in 2016 and the DJs who are arriving?
I have been around for a while!!! Ibiza clubs are always heavily competing and these past years there’s been even more competitors with beach clubs, hotels etc. This gives opportunity to a lot more DJs than before as there are more offers on the island and all of these parties are booking DJs. The only problem I see is that there are too many DJs coming which don’t really know what Ibiza is about…but they will learn fast.
What are some of the biggest changes the island has seen over the last decade”?
As I said before, there are many more offers/options in general than there ever has been and it can get too crowded at some points. I’m also not a big fan of people coming to the island to look for an experience which has nothing to do with Ibiza. In the old days people were coming to experience Ibiza.
Thoughts on Ushuaia taking over Space in 2017?
Space has been part of Ibiza and the owner Pepe is a very good ambassador of the island. I have no idea of what are the future plans for Space, but I hope they keep the essence and don’t make a big monster.
Where have some of the best clubs you have rocked over the winter months?
Over the past months I been having a great time playing in clubs such as Warung and D-Edge in Brasil and other big events around the world which where not proper clubs.
Who are some of the Amnesia residents that you always love to party with?
I love Sven Väth, Pan-Pot, Loco Dice and many more. I even sometimes enjoy other styles of music.
What makes Amnesia such a good club for a DJ to play at?
I suppose the history it has, the atmosphere, the crowd, the sound system and the promoters which have been at Amnesia for many years.
An up and coming producer to watch out for in 2016?
For me Latmun is doing really well. He has great productions which work really well. I hope he keeps it up. There’s a new release coming soon on Wow! Recordings.
And finally, what else can you tell us about WOW! Recordings in 2016…what else is coming up?
As its our 10th Anniversary we are having releases from amazing producers like Subb-An, Latmun, Hector, Hector Couto, Cuartero, Popof, Pan-Pot, Emanuel Satie and many more!!
