What’s The Best Night Out Youve ever Had?
To be honest, i continue to have amazing nights out all the time! on a performance level this years gig at Sonar, Barcelona was the bomb! 8000+ people outside at the end of Sonar by Night, freaking out to all types of minimal goodies, with all my friends, artists (from minus) and family around… it doesnt get much better than that! Last Sat. in Beunos Aires, SAMC 2005 was also incredible.. beause Argentina has been run mostly by the typical British/Dutch influenced Trance for the past few years, and on Sat. I had 10,000+ people in front of me listening to typical tracks that I play at the afterhours in Ibiza!! Inspirational! And on a go out and have fun night… geezz… also many… had a great night just dancing to Ricardo early this year at the Panarama Bar in Berlin…. nothing like a party that really starts to get going at 6am 🙂 And, one of the parties in the early 90’s in Detroit at the Bankle building listening, dancing and tripping to Derrick May at his finest!!! If that set and experience didnt inspire my track Spastik, I dont know what did!
What’s Your Favourite Club?
So many great nights, and amazing clubs these days! In London I love both The End and Fabric… although some of the Villalobos vs Hawtin sessions at Fabric have been amazing!! (if I dont say so myself!!)…. Womb in Tokyo is always off the hook… and just got back from Spirit in NYC, the old Twilo… both of which now have soft spots in my heart! Dark rooms, BIG SOUND SYSTEMS, and people ready to freak out!! All of those clubs have that in common! …. and dont forget Berlin’s classic BEATSTREET!
What’s Your Favourite Record Of All-time?
I have absolutely no idea. at the moment one of the classics that is hitting me again is the original K. Alexi Shelby on Transmat, My Medusa! Minimal before people even knew the term!
