Superstar Swiss Producer about to Stop The World again

Straight on the back of the Ralph’s massive summer anthem ‘In The Zone’ the Swiss superstar DJ and Producer has wasted no time in getting back to what he does best – crafting many of the finest feel good dance floor anthems in the world. To get a special behind the scenes look into what goes on behind the camera, we sent a crew out to Croatia with Ralph and his team. If you’ve ever wondered where all the beautiful girls in music videos come from and what goes into the preparation for shooting a music video then be sure to take a look!

We caught up with Ralph in the middle of the shoot to get the details on the forthcoming ‘Stop The World’ and more…

Hi Ralph, how is Croatia?

“I love Croatia, it’s beautiful: coasts, beaches, clear water, sun, nice people…can’t ask for much more!”

Where in Croatia are you?

“I’m currently in Dubrovnik in the south of Croatia where we are filming parts of the new video.”

What do you think about the dance music scene growing rapidly in the country?

“It’s great to see how the dance music scene is picking up here – especially during summer time on the coast. There is always a great vibe here and there are a tonne of talented local DJs and producers coming through and keeping the scene strong.”

So, you’re shooting for the video for ‘Stop The World’ – tell us more about the single? Is there a story behind the track name?

“The story behind the track is as simple as it’s positive: Don’t pay too much attention what other people say. Trust yourself – you’re the only one that knows what’s right for yourself! ‘Nobody is stopping you, it’s all in front of you…’”

What’s the story behind the video for ‘Stop The World’?

“Four guys are having a good time in Croatia, doing a serious (and boring) cultural program. Then they meet two local girls. They convince the guys to skip the boring stuff and go partying… and then it gets wild in the club, they steal a boat…and after a while, the guys find themselves alone on an island, hardly able to remember anything. But they’re still happy, since they followed their heart and didn’t care what others would say!”

How much of a role do you play as the music producer the in production of the video?

“Usually I only have a very small role in my music videos. But this time, I joined the ‘wolfpack’ and I’m part of the 4-man team doing the trip.”

We saw the girls at your casting for the video; this must be one of the less stressful jobs of shooting a video?

“It’s a pleasant part of the process of course; the Croatian girls are very pretty. But sometimes, it’s not super easy to handle all the tiny little wishes of the girls.  At the end, all of us had a very fun time on the set and I hope everybody will feel that on the video!”

When we can expect the release and is there any confirmed remixes coming?

“We’re still working on the final package, but I’m positive that we can release the track in a few weeks time.”

How long does it take to shoot a music video?

“The shooting itself took around 3-4 days. But the main part is the preparation of the locations plus the editing after the shooting. That takes a bit more time.”

What do you have planned for the rest of the summer?

“I’m touring quite a bit till end of the year, but I’m trying to focus on studio work again for the next couple of months. I’ve made some time from the schedule to really focus on new music.”

And finally, what is your favourite thing about Croatia?

“The beautiful coasts with the clear water – and the hospitality of people down here!”
