Trainspotting With Random Soul

Sydney’s Random Soul, aka DJs Yogi and Husky, define house music at its core, celebrating over ten years of soulful, deep and funky house hues, releasing music on Large music, Guesthouse, Salted Music and Deepvisionz and their own imprint, Random Soul Recordings. As they unleash the next release from their popular ‘From The Vault’ series with some tasty reworks of ‘Hypnotize Me’, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Random Soul.

Disco Dom – Control – Process Records

Loving the disco vibes on this one. Domebresky’s new disco infused alias packs a heavy club punch with funky and bouncing disco riff. Essential.

Random Soul – Hypnotize Me (Random Soul’s 2023 Rework Extended) – Random Soul Recordings

Had great fun diving into these stems from 2011 and repurposing the track to be a bit more chunky but not taking away the original soulful approach of the vocal. Something for the sunshine.

Jolyon Petch – Million Pieces (Random Soul Remix) – TMRW

We always enjoy working on remixes, as it’s an opportunity to take existing melodies and ideas and reimagine them with our own flavor. Kept this one quite poppy and soulful which suited the vocal for us. Great groove on it though, nice party starter.

Mat.Joe & Thando1988- Special – Fool’s Gold Records

‘Special’ is a fun re-imagination of a classic Pharrel line. Works on the dance floor and has some nice uplifting chords.

Kokiri & Husky – You (Got It All) – Bobbin Head Music

Nice collaboration here from UK’s Kokiri & Husky. Funky disco vibes with some summer infused bounce.

Random Soul – Not Letting You Go – Random Soul Recordings

We kept the nice classic deep house vibes on this one. Was fun working on Yogi’s vocal and creating a sample like appearance to it by messing around with the pitch. Moody pads help this one feel somewhat spooky, but not without that dance floor energy. Hope you like it!

Danny Snowden – Always – PIV Records

Loving Dann’y stuff at the moment. Packed with nostalgia and classic sounds takes us back to the early 2000’s when we first started clubbing ourselves. Classy stuff!

Eats Everything Feat Shezar – Get Up – Three Six Zero Recordings

A rocking record this. This one has lit up the dance floors we have played every time we have played it. Classic piano house vibes and a funky bass line with a powerful vocal. All you need!

Redondo & Caius – The One You Love – Spinnin Records

Funky house all the way here, nicely sampled and well put together. Another floor pleaser that will serve you well.

Opolopo & Jaki Graham – Fire – Fool’s Paradise

A lovely original record from a very talented producer. Loads of bounce and soulful goodness pouring out of this one, and we’re loving it. Nice to see Toolroom starting their new label with some serious fire.

Random Soul ‘Hypnotize Me’ (Random Soul Reworks) is out now on Random Soul Recordings.
