4. The early Sasha days at Shelleys and Blackpool and knowing full well he was going to be the best DJ the world has ever seen…

5. A big tune comes on and you glance across the dancefloor and exchange a smile with a beautiful random…

6. Going into a club toilet and finding a cheeky line on the loo that someone has accidently left…

7. Landing in Ibiza, stepping off the plane and breathing in the aroma of the pine trees.

8. Gatecrasher, The End, Shindig, Slam, Shine, Slinky, Sundissential, The Hacienda, Quest, Cream, Progress, Fabric, Scream, Gods Kitchen, Shaboo, Passion, The Cross, Colours – big clubs… so many memories for yours truly…

10. Finding a really cool pair of vintage trainers that no one else will have…

11. Toni Tambourine from Defected Records swimming to Bestival in Speedo’s and discovering his mate had forgotten to bring his clothes. Club tales are classic.

12. The moment MARRS ‘Pump Up The Volume’ hit No. 1 in the charts back in the 80s, the moment we knew we had arrived.

13. “Who are you, where you from, what you on?”

14. Throwing your hands in the air when a massive tune comes on.

15. Flying anywhere in the world – anywhere in the world – and finding a decent club where you were not expecting it…

16. Having sex in your tent at a festival.

Brilliant music radio DJs; Pete Tong, Rob Da Bank, Lottie, the late John Peel, Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Danny Rampling, Colin Dale, Red Alert, Seb Fontaine, Norman Jay, Tim Westwood, The Dream Teem, Joanthon More, Jazzie B, Giles Peterson, any pirate DJ, Tony Prince, Jazzy Jay, Trevor Nelson, Justin Wilkes, DJ EZ… oh and fuck it, Dave Pearce used to pull in some belters whilst we were coming down on a Sunday night…

18. Snogging on E in a club loo.

20. After hour parties back at your house with all your mates listening to your favourite CDs and dancing on the kitchen table.

21. When the DJ plays ‘one more’.

22. Getting the new edition of Mixmag in March and looking at all of the festival line up’s coming up.

23. The Winter Music Conference in Miami, every major DJ playing, sunshine, colliding with America’s colleges Spring Break hence loads of fit girls and hearing the tunes that are going to rock the Summer.

24. Someone moving off a podium during a huge tune and jumping up there before anyone else.

25. Climbing into your car after a night on the dancefloor, wet through with sweat and smiling to yourself knowing you’ve just had a great night.

26. Massive Attack ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ – always, always, always…

27. Promoters taking you into the back room for you know what.

28. Making friends for life on a dancefloor.

29. The World DMC Mixing Championships. Way ahead…

30. Finding coins and pills on the dancefloor when you are one of the last leaving the club.

31. Big tune, the lazer striking and the smoke bellowing out of the cannons – Amnesia in Ibiza we salute you for those Summer moments..

32. Dancing at a party on a beach in Goa or Thailand, water splashing over your feet and a Full Moon shining overhead – perfection.

33. Danny Tenaglia – a musical king and someone who knows how to take clubbing with a pinch of salt.

34. Waking up the next afternoon after a great night out and finding a scrap of paper in your pocket with a girl/boy phone numbers on it.

35. The big festy bands such as The Prodigy, Faithless, Orbital, Pendullum, The Chems and Underworld – shivers down your back bone.

36. Getting your photo taken by a club magazine and seeing it in print a few weeks later.

37. The moment when the DJ mixes one record out and mixes in YOUR favourite record of all time. What a feeling…

38. The girls at Miss Moneypenny’s.

39. Getting on the guest list.

40. Boat parties in the Summer sun.

41. Lying on the hill at The Big Chill, a cold beer in your hand enjoying the view and sounds of the Main Stage. It doesn’t get better.

42. Air horns and whistles back in the day.

43. The London Electro scene. Got the capital firin’ again.

44. Paul Shurrey from legendary rave Universe riding around his site throughout the night on a white horse just checking up on things.

45. New DJs such as James Zabiella and Nic Fanculli coming through to become major players.

46. Classic clubland tales such as Sasha’s best pal Sparrow burying thousands of pounds in his family’s gardens to avoid the tax man after raking it in at his own club nights.

47. The French DJ invasion..

48. Sunset at The Cafe Del Mar or Tongy’s Friday night sessions at Mambo in Ibiza.

49. Carl Cox, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim and Armin Van Buuren – for being the main men for the masses.

50. Knowing the weekend is just around the corner…
