Fancy plans on reinventing the easily attained escapism of fancy dress to an invigorated generation intent on shedding their existing lives and nine to fives, for a more exciting alter ego…just for the night!

“Let your fancies run riot” for the evening at this no-holds barred event, where everyone is invited to come as what they would really like to be, throwing caution to the wind and letting loose at the first ever Fancy party.

Starting the party off is Desdemona Does Pop’s Ruth & Ed playing an across the board mash up selection, hot from DDP’s Islington 02 parties, and watch out for their blog on www.ruthanded.com. DJs and showbiz bloggers, Ruth & Ed play the very best pop music from the 1980s & 1990s. Mixing classic floorfillers with the top tunes that you didn’t know you knew, its pure pop heaven in an attitude-free zone. Fancy conjures up a magical innocent world with a host of weird and wonderful costumes on display, and where you can also meet the stars of Fancy TV and get your chance to be cast in the next show. With no rules in the land of Fancy, come as whatever or whoever you want, and the winner of the most creative and imaginative outfit on the night will receive a cash prize of £250.

Fancy also welcome Silent Disco to the Balcony Room, where guests will be provided with headphones playing two different channels of music – you decide.As one of the most popular new trends rippling through UK nightlife, Silent Disco combines hi-end technology with the notion of old fashioned disco giving a unique musical sensory experience. Broadcasting two channels simultaneously, it gives each user the choice of either channel, perfect for ‘dance offs’ DJ competitions or the sheer novelty of watching half a room silently do the ‘YMCA’ whilst the other half goes mad to techno!

Fancy also launch their amazing Membership Scheme (to run for a whole year) where by signing up for a free Fancy club membership before the 1st event, you will receive entrance to the once a month FANCY event for £1.50 forever. Sign up at www.fancyclub.co.uk and then collect your membership card at the event, and you will qualify for entrance to FANCY for just £1.50 for life. Each month the entrance price will increase by just £1, but don’t worry…what you pay at your first fancy party will be the only price you pay for the rest of your life! Going up by the extremely reasonable £1 a month, signing up before the second month will be £2.50, the third £3.50 and so on.

The Fancy spectacle bursts into full technicolour glory on Saturday March 6th at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, one of the capital’s most prestigious and timeless locations. Its classical architecture along with its nostalgic balconies provides an intimate and dramatic setting for Fancy’s debut spectacle. Destined to fit in with the location’s rich history, Fancy will also be donating a portion of the ticket sales to their inspiring charity partners, Teenage Cancer Trust and the humanitarian organization, Right To Play.
