You appeared on various Celebrity shows recently, ‘The Salon’, ‘Celebrity Fear Factor’ and ‘Celebrity Detox’ to name just a few…plus loads of other presenting and being an actual guest on many a show – what has been your favourite bit of work in front of the cameras…?
“The best TV has been I suppose, ‘Trust Me I’m A Holiday Rep’, with Roland Rivron – it was hilarious. Also ‘Blockos Brits’ was great fun, but I’ve really enjoyed all of the shows such as ‘Celebrity Scissor Hands.’
What has been the best clubnight you have EVER played at and what has/is your favourite venue?
‘I suppose the best club night or day was probably the first Terrace days of ‘Space’, however there have been many great club nights as well including my night FUBAR which was wild.”
Tell us your best 3 Ibiza madness stories…
Ibiza madness? Myself and Alex P DJing naked in Summer ’91, climbing the apartment block from the outside to the 4th floor then tapping the window to be turned away by our mate Baggy and having to climb back down, acccieeed!!! And all the mornings in Space and The Star Club in which we had our own office at the back – not for the faint hearted if you know what I mean.”
Who is the best Ibiza resident DJ – Spanish…?
“I think to be honest, personally for me my favorite Ibiza residents have to be Pippi and Carlos Diaz. I have great memories of these two legends.”
What is the best club around the world you have ever played at?
“Some of the Full Moon Parties in Thailand have been fantastic, but each country has there own great nights at one point or another. Israel was great, Dubai was great, BCM in Mallorca too many to mention, but all fantastic.”
What is the worst scrape you and Peasy have ever got into in Ibiza?
“Myself and Alex and friend Dizzy had a very close call when we were chased by the Guarda Civil one morning all over San Antonio after a very heavy fuelled session – I’d tell you more but I’d have to kill you.”
Tell us about the Poker side of your life, true you have built a Poker Room in your house, and what’s the most you have ever won – and lost at Poker?
“I’ve been playing on and off for 7 years, it’s a great game and we have tournaments at Linekers during the summer. I do have a room at my house with a real poker table chips etc. and have weekly tournaments with some of my pals. I won about £1000 once on a live TV tournament, which was cool.”
Looking back at your time DJing in Ibiza, what are you most proudest of?
“I suppose I’m most proud to be part of the original Space Terrace with Alex P and watching it become the iconic club that it is today. It was a real honor to have all the DJs in the world all be there on a Sunday morning letting their hair down, so to speak, and also all the celebrities who used to frequent it.”
Best ever Ibiza Villa party you’ve ever been to?
“God I can’t remember much about all that. There was this one party where me and Alex moved the decks from by the pool, went upstairs, put them on the roof and rocked it all day. Very funny.”
You started your career back in 1985 at the John Lyon pub in Harrow, West London spinning Funk and Soul, eventually getting into the world of Acid House at ZigZig in Ealing. What are your memories from those days?
“My memories of the ZigZig days are very fond, as well as the John Lyon – these were the best grounding days I could’ve asked for. Myself and Ali Jobe – who later went onto become the best ever Head of Door clubland has ever seen. We were DJing partners back then and also our mobile disco set up was called Ecstacy, in 1985, spooky eh?
Funniest Charlie Chester in Ibiza story?
“A Funny Charlie Chester story was having him thrown out of Space one morning. The look on his face when we had the security put his arms behind his back and ejected – priceless.”
‘Full Circle’, simply one of the craziest all day parties ever that took place on the banks of The Queens Mother’s Reservoir in Colnbrook, near Slough. It was where lifetime friendships were made, people sat in rabbit hutches and up trees getting loaded, DJs ripped the shit out of it – utter craziness. What’s your best memory from those Sunday afternoons…?
“As you know Queens/Full Circle was the original Sunday institution and have so many fuzzy memories from there. The rabbit hutch is a good one when I decided that the rabbit hutch under the tree would be the best place to spend the afternoon and call myself Bugs.”
How do you think Ibiza has changed over the years since you first landed on the white isle?
“Ibiza has changed only in popularity, it still has its original spiritual feel and can be used whenever you need it. It’s busier obviously, but you can’t keep something like that quiet, it was always going to become overrun at some point, I still love the place and have an amazing fondness and also met some fantastic people with whom remain friends to this day.
Cafe Mambo/Bar M or Cafe Del Mar?
“Both”
Best place to see an Ibiza famous sunset?
“Cafe Del Mar of the beach Cala D’Or”
Best restaurant in Ibiza?
“For me, the Argentinian Steak House in Cala Tarida.”

“It’s not so much a secret anymore, but Linekers Bar in San Antonio is a new kid on the block and rocking.”
Best beach in Ibiza?
“Benherras in the north of the island”
For someone who has never been to Ibiza, what five things should somebody HAS to do?
“Go to Pacha, have a night at Linekers, a day on my favourite beach, see the amazing Es Vedra island and do a Sunday at Space.”
What are your plans for Ibiza 2009?
“I plan to take it very easy this year in Ibiza, looking forward to the weekly night at BOHO, San Antonio’s newest addition. Looks to be the one to check out over there, it’s the old Extasis.”
