Propaganda Keeps Rocking With The Maccabees

Propaganda, the UK’s biggest indie club night, is keeping O2 Academy Islington moving on Friday 13th August with the second week of their month-long summer series. Indie rockers The Maccabees will be taking to the decks to deliver an Indie-driven mix packed with the best new and classic Indie tunes! As always, Propaganda creator DJ Dan will be in attendance to deliver one of his renowned sets!

Having achieved cult status with their debut and sophomore albums ‘Colour it in’, and ‘Wall of Arms’, Brighton five-piece The Maccabees are a firm favourite on the Indie circuit. The recent talk of new material for their main stage sets at Reading and Leeds festivals this summer means they are set to reclaim both the limelight and the dancefloor in 2010. Without doubt, the London-based contingent of their fans will be in attendance at Propaganda, so make sure you are in the crowd as it goes off at O2 Academy Islington!

Every week over 10,000 people attend Propaganda nights across the country, with the UK’s biggest musical stars playing the best new and classic indie music. Combined with cutting edge décor, special effects and music videos incorporated into every set, Propaganda creates a now legendary multi-sensory extravaganza. Past guest DJs have included Lily Allen, Zane Lowe, Vampire Weekend, The Cribs, Kaiser Chiefs, Pendulum and live sets from Delphic and Miike Snow.

In addition to Maccabees and Propaganda creator DJ Dan in the main room, the ‘Pop’aganda DJs will be mixing up an eclectic blend of pop, dance and D’n’B in O2 Academy2.

Propaganda, the UK’s biggest indie club night, serves up another guest DJ on Friday 20th August as it segues into the third week of the summer series at O2 Academy Islington. A DJ set from The Inbetweeners star James ‘Jay’ Buckley is guaranteed to deliver the fun as he digs through his record collection to deliver a mix of his favourite Indie tunes.
