The Queen of Hoxton opens her roof garden for summer 2010!
Official launch Sunday 11th July, Hoolafest with Levi Roots Reggae Reggae BBQ, free hoola lessons, live music, DJs, world cup final and lots more!
It doesn’t get any better than this! Soak up the sunshine on the Queen of Hoxton’s very own rooftop garden. Possibly East London’s best place to hang out this summer, the Queen’s roof garden will play host to a stunning array of events, parties and good-old-fashioned-sun-drenched-quaffing-of-pimms-and-gin-and-tonic, all summer long!

Having already played host to some fantastic events from the likes of Mixmag and Mat Horne’s Session parties, the roof is fully equipped to provide the perfect setting for a blazing hot summer. Featuring panoramic views of the city’s skyscrapers and London’s east end, a fully stocked Rum Shack complete with palm trees, and the famous Queen’s bbq ‘fit for a royal banquet’. With all this as well as the amazing Briska ‘slush puppy’ cider on tap, giant bean bags, impromptu Ukelele performances and a fantastic atmosphere, the Queen’s Victorian-garden-party-meets-decadent-urban-playground roof garden has everything in place to become the venue for Summer 2010.

Launching our summer of sun is the extra special Hoolafest: The Summer party not to miss…a glorious day of FREE Hoola Hooping lessons, Cocktails, DJ’s, Live Music and special guest LEVI ROOTS cooking up a tasty Caribbean BBQ up on the very sunny Roof Terrace!!! It’s free entry all day and kids are welcome until 6pm. Full details below in notes to editor.

And when the sun goes down, the Queen’s two floors indoors will be more than ready to welcome her sun-kissed visitors with a tight programme of music accompanied by a rolling gallery of art installations, photographic exhibitions, fringe theatre and screenings. The ground floor is an intricate blend of window etchings, graffiti, ivy and a landscape of benches and screens. While the games room takes in table-football, vintage pinball and a unique Brighton pier 1960’s gaming rarity. The Queen’s alter ego appears in the basement bar, dark and a little twisted, the space caters for her every whim hosting film nights, fringe theatre, sweaty raves and live gigs.

So with her bright and sunny roof garden, first floor bar and dark and dirty basement, the Queen of Hoxton’s three-pronged charms are sure to satisfy all your summer party desires.
