Calling all Nerds & Nerdettes! This Saturday Urban Nerds return to celebrate their birthday after a whopping two years of parties in London, showcasing the finest underground talent that the Big Smoke has to offer!
The Nerds come correct with a truly epic 2nd birthday line-up that re-visits some of their favourite performances alongside a selection of the freshest selectors and MCs around from the realms of dubstep, drum & bass, garage, grime, jungle, electro and the rest!
Not ones to hold back on a decent knees-up, the Nerds are taking over three rooms of raw warehouse space, throwing in the best Funktion 1 sound, a full lighting show and their biggest ever line-up. Shy FX & SP:MC rep drum and bass while dubstep don N-Type brings the bass weight, original junglists Congo Natty aka Rebel MC and Tenor Fly take it back to the old skool and the legendary Taskforce showcase the true UK hip-hop vibe!
As if that’s not enough, this mother of all raves marks the launch for Senseless Records’ anticipated release, ‘Vocals & Versions’ with the full Senseless crew in the house alongside Warrior Queen and Bunnington Judah of the infamous Iration Steppas. Also on board are all the Urban Nerds DJs, Tomb Crew, Men in Masks and an endless list of top-notch selectors that’s far too long to mention!
And [gasp], the 2nd Birthday Special is also the official London warm-up party for springnine festival, Austria’s biggest event for club culture, electronic art and music taking place between 20th & 24th May 2009!
