Hailing from Belgium Alix has come a very long way in a short amount of time, his debut releases for Horizona Music caught the ear of Fabio amongst others and since then he has recorded for Liquid V, Creative Source and now Friction has snapped him up to provide his first LP 1984. The vibe of the tracks are as you would expect very deep with the some of them even going back in time to the classic days of Photek and Source Direct. The stand out tracks for me are the title track 1984, Fade Away and No Grudge… This is just as much easy listening as it is dancefloor material giving that extra bit of culture to the genre of d&b, if you have checked the Lynx LP you will love this and it is a perfect cd to have in your car stereo.
