Released to celebrate their party at Ushuaia (in Ibiza) this three cd set has each of the prime residents deliver their own take on music. And whether you have any particular feelings one way or the other about the venue and the Island itself this gives you the opportunity to separate the out the music and concentrate on its own merit. Personally, what’s great here is that all three DJ’s supply three equally excellent mixes touching upon lots of differing reference points, always exciting and contemporary. Andrea Oliva opens his set with Carl Craig’s tantalising remix Junior Boys ‘Like A Child’ and then proceeds to work through music from the likes of Deetron to his own productions – as indeed do all the DJ’s. UNER is next with a deeper, funkier edge to the selection including numbers from Nick Curly, D’Julz and Dennis Ferrer. Leaving, Los Suruba to end the experience via an atmospherically charged combination of brooding electronic moments from the likes of Tim Green, Fur Coat and Guy Gerber & Dixon.
