ASAVIOUR
THE BORROWED LADDER
LOW LIFE

Ten years or so ago, if you’d said that UK hip-hop would establish it’s own identity, and break free of the shackles of regionalism, few people would’ve taken you seriously.  Fortunately, UK labels like Low Life have remained strong, refusing to take ‘no’ for an answer, and helped to nuture a strong artist base, concentrating on raw talent and commitment to win through.  Huddersfield’s Asaviour now takes his turn to burn with “The Borrowed Ladder” LP, building on his recent profile working with Jehst, amongst others.  The lyrical ire of “Banger ‘n’ Mash”, the familiar tale of the MC escaping the streets on “The Borrowed Ladder”, the remixed version of capitalism gone mad with “Money In The Bank”, Asaviour has a knack for exposing the truth of the matter, with a flow that is lyrically at ease, no matter the subject matter.  Production is looked after by a wealth of talent, including Asaviour, drawing a well-rounded UK sound that doesn’t rely on tricks or pop hooks to sell it.  Low Life know what the deal is.
