Mr Torske is something of a pied piper in this album, turning his hand to a number of different styles that bring in Steve Reich-influenced ambience with more nippy disco numbers. There’s no doubting which is the better here, and ‘Bergensere’ is an excellent, slowish disco track built on a craftily simple riff. ‘Nitten Nitti’ does likewise, while the rather strange ‘Versjon Wolfenstein’, with its leftfield dub influences, sports a set of macabre sounds seemingly disappearing down the plughole. A bit of everything here then, but when he gets on the dancefloor Bjorn Torske is especially convincing.
