‘This Side Of Paradise’ is just that – a lovely comedown album that takes the weight off your feet with its beautifully floated music. ‘Borderline’ will get you straight in the mood with its ambling four to the floor shuffle and sense of space, qualities that run with the Cologne duo throughout the album. Intriguingly ‘Lora’ sounds a bit like a slowed down outtake from Daft Punk’s latest album, with its gentle melancholia, while the softly voiced ‘The Sea’ strikes a chord, along with the shimmering oscillations of ‘Poor Knight’. With warm washes of sound and general loveliness, this could almost be described as the best new album this side of paradise. But then that would be too much of a PR stunt!
